Repentance and forgiveness

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

I felt led to share the following with you:

"He told them, β€œThis is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” Luke 24:46-49

The importance of repentance and forgiveness is something I really never understood until about 3 years ago. Luckily, we have one of the best books ever written; The Bibe, which gave me the wisdom to apply these two actions to my life daily. It's amazing to draw closer to Him every day.

Meditating on His word has become such a big part of my life and I will forever praise Him for that.
He saved me when I was at my lowest. All I had to do is call on His name.

  1. Dearest Elora, once my Beloved helped me to truly forgive, my life changed. Through forgiveness He set me free from the pain I was in and that changed my life and prevented me from becoming a bitter woman. I always thought forgiveness is a onetime thing, but He taught me through His word and the lessons that we must forgive 77×7 times, even for the same sin.

The lessons that really helped me, and that I still refer back to are:

Dear Elora, I think that’s what I’ve learned the most to forgive, to go the extra mile, and it’s all in the Best Book of the Bible. Learning the Truth feeds me every day, and what makes us follow Our Heavenly Spouse.

  4. Dear Elora, thank you for sharing and for the encouraging Bible verse. He is always ready to forgive our sins that we confess to Him. If I have committed a sin, in recent days there have been sins in my life (sins due to the harsh words I spoke and the sin of temptation) then it hurts so much in my heart. But I have my dear Heavenly Husband, to Him I can pour out my heart and He wants to forgive my sins and cleanse my heart from unrighteousness. He wants to forgive our sins if we also forgive others their sins.

    Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.
