Zalika, how did your Restoration Journey actually begin?

It all started a few years ago, after 5 years of dating and 12 years of marriage, my husband, Parker, left our home. He went to his mother's house at first, but then got involved with another women about a year later. He said he had fallen in love with her and wanted a divorce so he could remarry. Since he left home, he said he didn't want anything to do with me anymore and wanted to be happy with the other woman, because he didn't love me anymore.

How did God change your situation, Zalika, as you sought Him wholeheartedly?

At first I didn't really understand what was happening, and I asked some ladies to help me in prayer. One of them introduced me to the book: How GOD can and will restore your marriage.

As soon as I started reading it, along with the Bible, I understood where I had gone wrong in my marriage, causing Parker to give up on everything.

I did everything as explained in the book and asked Parker for forgiveness. I let go and sought to have the Lord as my Husband during the time he was away.

I did everything as taught in the book and was strengthened by reading the many testimonies.

What principles, from God's Word (or through our resources), did the Lord teach you during this trial, Zalika?

I learned about not confronting Parker, letting go, not shaming him, treating him with respect and love, being truthful, being a virtuous woman, fighting without words and many more other principles.

What were the most difficult times that God helped you through, Zalika?

In the moments when the Lord revealed the other woman to me and when he came to me to say he wanted a divorce.

Zalika, what was the "turning point” of your restoration?

He started chatting with me and being affectionate. He praised me and joked with me. Whenever he came to our house, he was sad and I kept treating him with respect and love.

Tell us HOW it happened, Zalika? Did Parker just walk in the front door? Zalika, did you suspect or could you tell you were close to being restored?

Since leaving home, Parker came to our house from time to time and treated me with respect and affection.

I learned from the book and the website and through the testimonies, that I shouldn't reject him or take my ring off, because he was still my husband, that only in case of divorce, should I not be intimate with him. Despite these encounters, he says that he had no desire to be married to me, but that he had a great affection for me.

I did everything as the book taught, I started to put my house in order and every time he came over, he would find an environment of peace and tranquility. He always commented that everything was organized and I didn't bother him with any problems. The reason for this was that the Lord was now my Husband and supplied all my needs, so that I didn't have to look to Parker to solve any problem. The Lord is wonderful!

Our middle daughter, was going to get married in a few months and I started praying to the Lord that on her wedding day, He would have Parker come home and that on her wedding day, we would be able to be witness that GOD can and still does miracles. It would have been so heartbreaking that at our daughter's wedding, he would show up with the other woman.

After tirelessly praying to the Lord for my miracle, a month before her wedding, Parker asked me to pick him up from his mother's house and at our daughter's wedding we were together, happy and proud. It was beautiful and wonderful. Glory to God!!!

Would you recommend any of our resources in particular that helped you, Zalika?

Yes, whenever I have a friend with marriage problems I recommend that they read the book "How GOD can and will restore your marriage" It was wonderful for me and still is, because in bad times I always read it.

Would you be interested in helping encourage other women, Zalika?

Yes

Either way, Zalika, what kind of encouragement would you like to leave women with, in conclusion?

Never give up on your husband and your family. Fight with the weapons that GOD gives you and make sure that victory is certain.
