βLetΒ yourΒ lightΒ shineΒ before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heavenβ (Matt. 5:16).
It amazes me that my family sees our home as a safe haven, a place where the light always shines. It never occurred to me that in my darkest hours I still bring light to others. Sometimes it may feel like there's only a candle burning, but the greatness of that little candle flickering just reminds me that as long as I praise Him and keep having hope in Him and His word, He is there. He brings light to my life so I can show others the goodness of Him.
"O LORD, I will honor and praise your name, for you are my God. You do such wonderful things! You planned them long ago, and now you have accomplished them." I25:1
‘For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. ‘

Elora, what a beautiful praise, and so it is, even if we do not see Him, we are light, because we have Him, and every word of encouragement, every testimony, is that light, which will illuminate the path of another person. Our Lord is the light that illuminates this Journey for us and so we turn and give light. Thank you for this beautiful praise. And Glory to the Lord. May His Light continue to shine in us.
βItβs impossible to disappear from you or to ask the darkness to hide me, for your presence is everywhere, bringing light into my night. There is no such thing as darkness with you. The night, to you, is as bright as the dayβ there is no difference between the two.β Psalm 139:11-12

I have been feeling the same way, and I have to admit that I often focus more on the world than on the Word. The Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. When I focus on the Word, tiny shards of light begin to illuminate those dark places. The same sun that brings beauty from seeds buried deep in the soilβs obscurity can bring forth beauty out of your dark situation.
And this little light will shine through us to others!!
Thank you for sharing precious Elora, it reminds me of this beautiful promise: “They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed.” P34:5 https://biblehub.com/psalms/34-5.htm
