I already shared with you, dear friends, that my sister has a deep depression due to facing divorce twice. Last week our mother called me saying that there was something wrong with her and asked me for help.
We, my sister and I, went together to the doctor and there she confessed that she tried suicide, it was shocking to me, I was not expecting something like this, but at the same time I was grateful that I could be with her at this moment.
I shared this with my loving friends at our BOD weekly meeting and I also asked for prayers. Erin always listens to our praises - as we always begin our meeting with praises \o/ and she could send me a voice note to encourage me and it was really so precious and encouraging. She also reminded me how difficult it is to minister to family and siblings and reminded me about her sister's salvation story.
And yes, I tried so hard to tell my sister about the Man I have in my life after going through such hard times in my marriage... but I feel how skittish she is, mainly because I tried to show her that she can give up fighting for her rights in the tribunal. But now I can feel that she is softened. The other day I sent a voice note with the devotional of the day, she thanked me and said that she wants to trust like I do!
I told her that I really believe that she will be fine, that everything is going to be fine, because there was Someone by her side holding her hands tight and He would never leave or forsake her! I also told her that not only me, but that there were women around the world praying for her! And that those women know the kind of pain she is facing, because we all had problems with our marriages.
She then told me that she doesn't want to have her marriage restored, the only thing that she wants is to desire living again. I had to tell her a prophetic word from Erin that she will have and will be a huge testimony for many women, for the ones that don't want to restore their marriages, but that deeply need to find the Love that lasts forever!
I didn't say the words "Heavenly Husband" yet, because I know that it could be hard to acknowledge this concept at this moment, but of course that I know that HE is all that she needs in her life, as any women, not married yet, married, separated or divorced - He is all we need in our lives!!! And I am so thankful to be seated in the front seat to watch how He is alluring my sister to Him!
