Praise God I was able to share His words as encouragement to an old friend from childhood. About 3 weeks ago, a friend had a miscarriage she didn’t know she was pregnant and was having pain and feeling sick. She always said after her first son she didn’t want any more children. But finding out that she was and lost it hurt her and had her broken for a while. She cried, and at the moment all I could do was comfort her with the Bible verses that comforted me when I needed them, and she felt much better. She realized at that moment that everything happens for a reason and started reflecting on the strength of our tongue, and being quick to answer. We both know now that God has started a work in us and He will finish what He start.
We will go through some hard trials but they are to make us better.
“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus”—Philippians 1:6
At times when something happens to us in life, we think we’ll never get through, but we have to think that God allows things to happen to us. This way He can work in us once we are broken to mold us.
