Training my spiritual muscles

"But blessedΒ is the one who trustsΒ in theΒ Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

It may seem funny that my Beloved has led me to read and study the living lesson 90, but as we already know, with Him nothing is a coincidence, the fact that I am going through waiting on matters that I have been leaving in His hands time and time again , it just makes me smile just reading the first few paragraphs of this lesson.

I could only say: β€œWell, Beloved, I understand”, I think that in one way or another we all find ourselves in various trials, I find myself in one that I refuse to continue in my own strength, I think that many days have been about telling my Beloved, β€œif I don't go with you, I don't want to move anywhere,” especially when circumstances seem pressing; but remembering that He is in control helps my impulses to be curbed.

But reading the lesson reminds me that I am training my spiritual muscles, which leads me to be firm in my obedience both in the guidance he gives me and to remain obedient in his moments of silence.

"Hope in theΒ Lord and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it." Psalms 37:34

And it is that firmness that will help us stay in the race, to continue, to please Him, to let ourselves be guided; I have to admit that many times I stop and ask: why? But in the same way he quickly reminds me that He is in control, without realizing that He has exercised many times the trust that unconsciously He leads me to the obedience that, like Abraham, he is exercising me to believe against all hope.

I thank my Beloved for instructing me through this lesson, thank you for lifting my hands and spirit and showing me that His can use everything to polish me and take me to new heights.

  1. Thank you for sharing precious Perla, I love when our Darling Lord does that and I totally agree it is not a coincidence, our Darling Lord knows precisely what He is doing. Just Sunday I was also led to a living lesion ( https://encouragingwomen.org/praise-him-in-the-storms/ ) and there I also said I no it is not a coincidence. Our Darling Lord really puts a huge smile on my face, He is just the Best!

  2. A beautiful reminder that even in times of uncertainty, His guidance and love will lead the way. πŸ₯°

  3. Dear Pearl, what a joy to know that amid those moments of questioning, exhaustion, and struggle He is present to give us what we need: a hug, comfort, advice… And it is just what we need to hear what He speaks to us, it is wonderful how His words fill our interior and make us feel loved and special to HIM. I am so glad that amid these needs, HE is always there to fill our [spiritual] water jugs, just as He did with the Samaritan woman. HE LOVES YOU!

  4. β€œDo not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NIV

β€œAnd whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17 NIV

Giving thanks changes our perspective! That is what changed everything for me while I exercise my faith daily!
Daily household duties, debt, and the drama of life can be overwhelming and leave us in despair. However, going about our days with the purpose of finding something to be thankful for will cause transformation in our lives! Perhaps our burden won’t disappear, but our approach to those burdens will change. When you give thanks to the LORD, you will receive His peace!
Thank you for sharing my dear!
