β Today's Promise: βDo not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.β Deuteronomy 31: 8
~ Liora in Texas
Dear Brides, In this chapter "Where Did I Go Wrong" from the book Poverty Mentality, I learned that The Lord wants us to come to a place of surrender, no longer dwelling on our mistakes or who we think is at fault, but instead letting Him show up in ways unimaginable to "fix" the impossible! Remember His ways are always better than ours and we know we have victory if we let Him just "show up"!
I do have to say that I have dwelt on my past mistakes frequently but it has gotten so much better learning everyday that the Lord forgives me and wants me to move on. Even when things aren't our fault He doesn't want us to focus on the details but just leave it for Him to justify. It's not even about us most of the time, it's all about Him and showing His glory! He doesn't want or need me to try to fix anything because He is in control. It's when we try to take control that we mess up and block the blessing that He has in store for us.
I also see in the stories of the Bible that sometimes the Lord is late in our circumstances. Not because He is mad at us or punishing us but because He wants to do something so great for us that only He can get the credit for. I don't want my faith to waiver at any moment and I just want to live knowing that He is in control and sometimes has to do things in our life so that people can watch and want to turn to Him.
I want to live like this knowing and being confident that the Lord will show up when He is ready to show Himself. I don't want to live in the doubt and the fear and thinking "if' He shows up and instead knowing that He WILL show up if I give it to Him and just wait patiently!
Dear Brides, The question is not IF He will show up, it's WHEN will He show up. Rest in Him knowing that He is going to bless you in ways unimaginable if you just let go and let Him come through for you. As we recognize our mistakes and move on with Him, the promise and blessing will come, just wait patiently knowing that He IS coming!
"Then the Lord replied: 'Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.'" Habakkuk 2: 2-3
