What’s your purpose

"By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.โ€ John 13:35

Life can be hard sometimes. Everyone you meet might be facing some sort of struggle in their life. Throughout my own struggle, I would like to show people that I am a follower of the Lord and that I believe He died for our sins and that He wants their hearts for himself.
John 13:35: By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.โ€

I have discovered that most people in the UK do not believe in our Saviour. My sister's partner, for one, asked a question the other day about how people's actions don't meet up with what they say, hence why he's not 100% a believer, but we as a family can see there's a change in him every day.

If I say I have a relationship with the Lord, my actions need to line up with what I'm saying. I, for one, believe that showing kindness, being gentle, being lovable, and helping those in need are just a few characteristics you need.

My all-time favourite Bible verse is: โ€œWe know that God causes all things to work together for good to those whoย loveย God,ย to those who are called according toย His purposeโ€ย (Rom. 8:28).

I believe that our biggest purpose on earth is to teach one another, whether it's someone's first time of hearing about God or reading a Bible.

We are to guide one another, and I am so thankful for being a part of RMI because I have gained more confidence in fulfilling my purpose.

1 Thessalonians 5:11:
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

  1. Thank you ELORA for your blog I agree with you that we must represent the Lord.

”For my part, I believe that showing kindness, being gentle, being kind and helping those in need are just some of the characteristics you need.Kindness does not represent .”
On this point I totally agree that it’s only one part of the characteristics.

There’s a verse that speaks to me more

35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

the previous verse tells us about love.
It’s a recommendation from the LORD
thank you for your blog it makes us aware of the importance of loving our neighbor.

  2. Thank you Elora, it is true, our actions must represent our Beloved. The joy and peace we experience, our Beloved’s love that makes us radiate, must draw others in to want what we have. We must be an epistle.

  4. Thank you Elora. Life can be tough but thankfully He works everything out for our good because we love Him! ๐Ÿ’• The favorite verse you shared has been one I have meditated on this month. And yes, we should all try to live our lives in a way that shows Him and His love and kindness to others. It seems that trials keep coming my way lately but we know to โ€œConsider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.โ€J1:2,3

Dear Elora, that is the purpose of Our Beloved, in bringing us to RMI. It is to turn around and give what HE has taught us, because as you say, people see a distant Lord, and now we know how close we have Him, and that our own struggles are to guide those who come behind. Thank you for sharing that beautiful testimony.
