♕ Today's Promise: 1 John 4:4 “You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.”
Dear Brides, our Heavenly Husband 's role is to be our Protector. He is our Fortress. He is our Shield. He is our Refuge. He is our Advocate. He is our Defender. He is our Redeemer. He is our Watchmen and He never sleeps. He says in His word that this is His battle not ours and we are just supposed to watch Him work (Exodus 14:13-14, my paraphrase). We are to take up our position and stand (2 Chronicles 20:17). So let's walk in obedience. Let's watch Him take care of every detail to blow our minds. Let's let Him handle it all, as He knows the very desires of our hearts, so who better to Protect us?
Our natural instinct is to protect those that we love and care about. We once again think that we have to do it all and in our own power. We find ourselves trying to figure out how we can protect our children and our spouses from the destruction of our families and marriages but in reality, we don't have to do a thing but bring it to our Heavenly Husband and trust Him to protect everything that is precious and dear to us.
During my journey, I have fought to protect my kids, my marriage, my husband, my name, myself, my "stand" and belief of what God will do. This whole time, I have fought. I have wanted to protect my husband's character among my family and others despite what has taken place. I have fought for my justification for my journey. Through it all, I have watched more and more of it slip away simply because I have done it in my own strength. After reading this Chapter 12 "Your Best Protection", I have come to realize that I just need to bring it before my Love, lay it down, and trust that He will protect. For He is the Ultimate Protection of all that concerns me.
Instead of trying to protect myself and all that is tied to my journey, I realize now that I don't owe anyone an explanation. I only need to talk to my Love and trust Him alone with the details. For there is nothing that I can do to protect and shield, all that is involved in my current journey. I need to bring it before Him and know that He will battle for me. He will fight for me. He will Protect and Shield everything. After all, He never sleeps. He is the Perfect Watchman!!!
Let's pray and lay it all down: My Baby Love, change me!!!! I have brought my own house down with my own two hands and my mouth. Help me to contain my tongue and control my spirit to be gentle and quiet. Help me to reflect Your radiance. Help me to see the attacks before they occur so that I can bring it before You, trusting You for the outcome. Help me remember this wisdom that all the protection my children, finances, health, marriage, husband, and I need is YOU!!! There is no better person for the job.
There is Someone out there that cares deeply about what concerns You (even more than you do). Someone who never sleeps never fails, never complains, who welcomes the battle, and ALWAYS walks away with the triumph and victory.
