Moving Mountains Chapter 6. Opposition, I understand that it is one of the enemy’s schemes: Oppression, we have trouble dealing with. He is the one behind subjecting a person to a harsh or cruel form of domination, to be a source of worry, of stress, or of trouble to somebody, and to hold something in check or put an end to it; to coerce, tyrannize, dominate, repress, subjugate...
“He will speak against the Most High And oppress his saints And try to change the set times and the laws.— Daniel 7:25
Because I never paid attention, in fact, I didn't know the verse. It's comforting and gives strength to know that God has anticipated the opposition and oppression we may face.
Not resist even if I feel abused, as if because anyway I will not do anything to defend myself, someone can be kind to me just when he is about to ask something, but can behave anyhow the rest of time. It is hard to accept it that way even if the word says it, and that God is working and will defend me. I also use to foolishly think that to push against something or someone (like resisting my husband) will get me what I wanted.
“But I [Jesus] say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two” (Matthew 5:38–40).
Because it is very very very difficult to do the 2nd part when we are hurt, to go along happily and go beyond what is asked for or demanded of us, or bless the person. So that I will no longer feel the opposition, I will always remember to not resist it, never, whatever it is, however, I feel, God will be my help if I want to do as He wants.
If you have felt opposed or oppressed in any way, let’s pray, let us speak to our Heavenly Love about it: My Dear Husband, despite all that I read, I want to ask You something, PEACE, peace of mind! Help me. Just want my head to stop thinking, whatever is going on, normal or not. Please my precious, remind me of letting go, because You are more important, nothing can and should take your place in my heart, I don't want that to happen. By myself, I'm failing, please Lord Precious do the work in me. I can't fight. I'm understanding that if I really want to “have it all,” “get my cake and eat it too,” I must not resist, it will surely be agreeable, so that men, and all the people around me, want to bless me and not oppose me too. Not because they really “want to” do so, simply the way You have set up the universe.
You have chosen me to begin moving the mountains in my life, in order to get the attention of everyone around me. It's a privilege and it sounds so encouraging to persevere, with eyes of faith actually. I, like everybody, has mountains that need moving. Then in the process of moving those mountains, guide me step by step like You did with Michele and Erin, other women, like You, say in Your word.
Many times I can't really hear You, Lord, maybe things are keeping me away from you and your voice? Please repeat and take them away. Maybe I'm not at the right place with my heart to hear You speaking? For the moment when I don't know what to do, I remain quiet or try what Your word says. I want to follow your plan and have that privilege later to see many asking me to tell them more, as they watch my mountains beginning to move. How would You turn it for good? The awesomeness of it all is that I don't need to know HOW I simply just have to KNOW that You will. But for the moment You are all I need, all I want, all I want to live for, fill me so that I will not be aware of anything else, but just You, Your presence, Your love, grace, faith, possibilities, everything from You my Beloved, because it is always good and more than enough.
Dear Brides, He has chosen you to begin moving the mountains in your life, in order to get the attention of everyone around you. Who doesn’t have mountains that need moving? Then in the process of you moving your mountain, if you follow His plan, soon many will ask you to tell them more, as they watch your mountain begin moving.
How would He turn it for good? The awesomeness of it all is that we never need to know HOW; we simply just have to KNOW that HE will. Be encouraged, don't give up; for we know He always finishes what He starts, He longs to be gracious to us.
