wLL 22 “The Source of your Strength”
Today’s Living Lesson is wLL 22 “The Source of your Strength”. Sometimes our Beloved let us sleep through a storm, keeping us safe and unaware of what is going on around us (https://loveatlast.org/living-lessons/week-21-sleeping-in-the-storms/), like Janine’s recent PR (https://encouragingwomen.org/it-is-all-my-darling/) and the recent earthquake my children and I slept through peacefully and only found out about the next morning.
But sometimes we have to face the storm or our adversity head on, knowing that He is the source of our strength and He will take us through the storm.
When I was facing divorce and later custody loss, I wanted so badly to sleep through the storm, but I was called to go through it with Him as my Mighty Counsellor and my only source of strength to have a testimony to share with others facing the same trails. With His strength I was able to go through the storm and lay down my will for His, trusting that His plans are greater than mine, and that His plans are so much bigger and better than mine.
Please read this lesson and share what you’ve learned from it in the comment section below or share your praise.
Thank you for sharing dear Adina, I precisely know what you are talking about when you say you wanted so badly to sleep through the storm, because just this week I said with this whole house searching and going to live with my parents, I feel I am in a storm and I wish I can sleep through the storm, but then I said now I get to trust the Lord and know I must praise my Darling in the storm and my Darling is teaching me to wait on Him. And still my Darling let me sleep peacefully during a literal storm.
Thank you for yet another beautiful living lesson. Yes, sometimes we need to face what is happening head-on. I love it and we will never know what the situation calls for if we are not close to Him right?
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”
yes Yvonne, if we are not close to Him we may miss the blessing or what we may learn at that moment. Now this lesson is called “the source of our Power” but He is also our source of wisdom. What we can always rely on for any decision we can make.
Amazing lesson……
This lesson reminds me of the promises in Exodus 14:13-14
“And Moses said unto the people, Fear not, stand fast, and ye shall see the deliverance of the LORD, which he will prepare for you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see no more: fight, and you will be silent.”
We cannot always run or hide from the trials that our Lord allows into our lives. These come with a purpose. What we can do is trust that we don’t have to be afraid. Safe with Him. No weapon formed against us will harm us. J5417.
From this lesson I also learned that there are two different times when we can rely on His love. When we are unaware of evil
https://loveatlast.org/living-lessons/week-21-sleeping-in-the-storms/ . The other moment is that we may learn and see by standing how the love of our Heavenly Husband surrounds and protects us. He shall do what we can’t do.
Much Love all🌹
I love this living lesson. It gave me a lot of peace in the middle of everything! When everytjing feel overwhelming we need to look uo to our Beloved, just stop everything and breathe and listen. Understanding who myBeloved is, how much I am loved, how close He is to my life, I feel peace. We are not alone, He is just a pfayer away.
Wonderful posted praise and lesson and the example with the insight. What my Husband reminded me of is how everything changed when my oldest daughter told me she LOVED thunderstorms and I enthusiastically stated “then I’ll love them too!” After being in agreement she went on to say that watching the storm raging 😤 while being safely inside makes her feel safe. Now I am excited when thunderstorms or even a recent hurricane 🌀 because I know HE WILL KEEP ME SAFE so I’m free to enjoy while snuggled safely with Him. It also helps that my Husband has me reading this promise to me every morning when I wake up.
