"Hear, my child, your father’s instructions, And do not forsake your mother’s teaching; Indeed, they are a glorious crown to your head, And [golden] chain around your neck.” Proverbs 1:8
Our children need us, they need us to invest love into them, not material possessions. They need our attention, patience and kindness.
When I was working outside the house, I felt so guilty for leaving my children at the daycare and I tried to make up for it with material things, I did try to make time to spend with them and to give them attention, but I still felt guilty for the time I missed with them. I know now that the material things I gave them did not make up for the lost time and now I focus on loving them intentionally and to give them the attention they need. Because they are being Homeschooled, I have them with me each day during the day although my former husband and I share 50/50 custody. My Beloved is redeeming the time lost with my children and He is showing me how to love them.
"As parents, we must discipline ourselves first and begin to build a strong foundation of love for our children. If we fail to invest love in our children, we will have resistance and rebellion to our teaching, training and our correction. Therefore, love will be our foundation and love will be our children’s motivation to obey us."

The Wise Woman in Waiting book is the book I wish I had earlier in my life, but now I can use this book to teach my daughter not to make the same mistakes I made.
If you want to teach your daughter, or any younger women, to build her life on the Rock, please read Chapter 13 My Ministry of Reconciliation. I also found that I learned so much from these lessons, gaining more wisdom to be a Wise Woman.

Thank you for sharing precious Adina, how special that our Darling Lord is restoring the time with your children.
