A Wise Woman in Waiting
A Wise Woman
"But let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality
of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God."
1 Peter 3:4
RMI is excited to invite you and your family to a Wednesday study,ย A Wise Woman in Waitingย andย A Wise Woman.ย For your brothers, fathers, and uncles, we haveย A Wise Man,ย and for sons,ย Wise Man Warriorย courses.
Friends I previously never had a gentle and quiet spirit. I followed worldly ways that teach women to stand up for themselves and fight for what they want.
I always talked too much, which only resulted in arguments and statements that helped to destroy my home. The worst part is that I never spoke in a gentle and quiet manner, which I now know is precious in the sight of God.
Theย Wise Woman in Waitingย book is the book I wish I had earlier in my life, but now I can use this book to teach my daughter not to make the same mistakes I made and theย Wise Man Warriorย course for my son.ย I learned so much from these lessons and gained more wisdom to be a wise woman.
If you want to teach your children and encourage your family members to join you in building their lives on the Rock, our websites will post the same lesson for the entire family each Wednesday.
Please join the conversation by sharing your testimony in the comment section below the lesson.
Hello kristy
During the whole week I sulk but I give thanks to God when I go over my lessons… And today the devotional slammed me…
While my EH was leaving he asked me to retrieve certain documents my inner voice said that he should go and retrieve his documents he has the car and I have to deal with the rain and the bus… And then click the devotional for me comes back to mind I tell him โYes I willโ and then he says can you give me credit on the phone my mouth opened to say โYesโ not another word.
I just tell him “yes to everything he asks me” without contesting or trying to understand or ask questions. Sometimes it’s better to be silent than to respond… And if it was Jesus who What would he have done? I don’t think he would have said, manage yourself, I don’t have time…
He often changes his scheduleโฆ
Jairus’ daughter
The death of Lazarus
The multiplication
Or he says go to the other side, Iโll join youโฆ
Hmmm letโs also change our schedules for something else.
Thanks Kristy
thank you Kateleen yes it helps when we think like what would Jesus done. I also find that this week there where times that I this want to say things but instead I pray and ask the Lord and tell Him. and I’m glad that the Lord have keep me quiet the times that I wanted to say things .
Thank you for sharing, Kristy.
Our Beloved is truly disciplining us all to become gentle and quiet in spirit, and I can see the changes in the women close to me. And yes, I agree. Doing these lessons, we are teaching those around us without even knowing it.
My prayer today is that every woman would have a gentle and quiet spirit.
โAnd so, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion,ย kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. And beyond all these things put onย love, which is the perfect bond of unity.โ Col. 3:12-14
Thank you for sharing precious Kristy. I too learn so much from all these lessons, I wish I had learned them sooner in my life.
I am also on that journey of saying nothing and being quite is much better. I am so grateful for what our Darling Lord is teaching us.
