This morning I was reading a meeting and there was a wonderful bible verse which I had to look up in my Afrikaans bible:)
So while I was reading the verse, I went a little further and ended up reading the whole Chapter. It is 2 Timothy for those of you who like to read this. Please do, it will bless you.
So as I was reading I realized how blessed I am to be here doing something I love. Although I liked the type of work I did at my previous work, I cannot say that I was excited to go to work in the mornings:) Most days were frustrating. It was really just a means to an end, getting a salary.
Today not only did it occur to me that, that is not the case anymore:):):) Wow! But I also have to tell you, that it would not have been possible if Lord did not teach me how to be content in every situation. How to stop complaining about my situation to everyone, except, of course, sharing it with Him.
LOL, in my previous work I had to keep updated with Regulations, Instructions, and Rules. Now I have to be updated in what is written in His Word. A very welcome change.
Thank You, Lord, Your blessings really do overtake us!!!
“All these blessings will come upon you and OVERTAKE you if you obey the Lord your God”
The Voice “All of the following blessings will be yours—in fact, they’ll chase after you—if you’ll listen to what He tells you.” Deuteronomy 28:2
“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.” Deuteronomy 28:2 (KJV)
“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (KJV)
The Lord goes further than just wanting you to be content, He wants us to give thanks in all circumstances:)
