Dear Brides, I have read this chapter many, many times, over and over. Each time it renews my hope and faith in my Heavenly Husband that He will supply my needs according to HIS riches and not mine... because sadly I just don't have it, I don't have the means or the education or the high paying job.

He has taught me to stop looking at MY MEANS and how I will take care of my monthly expenses and everything else. He has been speaking to my heart about having faith and activating my faith in HIM and in His provision for me and my family. Not just for the daily expenses but also for holidays and trips that need to be made as a family.

This lesson is very, very REAL for me. I grew up in a family of 6 kids and my dad was the sole provider. I grew up witnessing my parents struggling, they always struggled. I saw my dad at one time even selling the one bike we had as kids and walking with him far distances to borrow money from his sister just to put food on the table.

Coupled with this my parents went to church sporadically and did not have a relationship with God.

So having a Poverty Mentality definitely stems from my very difficult and not very happy childhood as there just was no happiness due to the ongoing struggles.

So as I mentioned I have read this lesson over and over again many, many times and that is because it was not yet time for me to journal but there were times that I was trusting my Heavenly Husband to provide and I needed to renew my thoughts!! I praise Him because He always provided, when I stood on His word found in this chapter. He always did the impossible \o/

I will be living out this principle by Seeking my Heavenly Husband for my needs. By ASKING Him when I have a need instead of trying to make a plan in my own puny strength.

I will live out this principle with others by being careful of what I say when having a conversation. Just this weekend I had a conversation with a friend who was saying she does not know how she will do it because she needs to buy new school uniforms for 2 of her kids and the many other expenses and fees. Reading this chapter again has made me aware of how I should have responded to this friend and how I could have shared with her what I learned and the testimony of the numerous times He has provided for me when it was an impossible situation.

Dear Brides, if you have grown up like I did with a really bad Poverty Mentality and you always struggled looking to people who just don't have it to provide, then this lesson is definitely for you! It will help to reset your mind and you will walk away knowing the truth which will set you free of your Poverty Mentality!
