For thus said the Lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.Β
Isaiah 30:15
Dear Brides,
Today when I read the 'My beloved' and was looking for Bible texts about 'Being still'.
My Beloved Lord led me to the story of Elijah recorded in 1 Kings 19: 9-14
It amazes me how we can learn through this history that God is at work and speaks to us when it is quiet. And that we must continue to have faith while the situation around us only gets worse.
Elijah had a hard time, he is on the run because He was threatened with death after killing the prophets of Baal. After a long journey through the desert, he had ended up in a rock. He no longer wanted to live, and had previously prayed for God to let him die. He had no hope anymore, and thought he was the only one in the country who still believed God, and now he too was threatened with death. The situation was hopeless.
God had seen Elijah sitting in the rock and asked him what he was doing there. Elijah poured out his whole heart to Him. God asked Elijah to come out of the rock and join Him on the mountain.
Just before God came, it suddenly started to storm very hard, so hard that the rocks were blown apart and the mountains began to split, but God was not in that mighty storm, then came an earthquake, Elijah also heard His voice in this natural disaster. not, afterward there was fire, neither was the voice of his God heard in it.
After the fire, Elijah heard the whisper of a gentle breeze, Then he knew, now God is going to speak. He was able to pour out his heart to Him again and was encouraged by the words that God spoke. God told him which way to go and gave him hope again.
Dear Brides, God speaks to your heart in the silence, his voice is soft and loving, you do not hear this voice when you are busy with everything. You don't hear His voice when there is a lot of noise and commotion in your life. It is so important that we have quiet moments in our lives or find a quiet place when we want to pour out our hearts to Him, so you can hear His loving words, encouragement and promise.

Dear Hanna, thank you for your testimony. The sweetest and strongest words have always been given to me by my Husband in the silence, in the calm, when there is no noise, when it is only He and I.
And we must always seek that solitude, to be away from the hustle and bustle of the world, to find the peace that only by being in His presence can we find.
Yes, it’s so important to take some time each day to be still and listen to His voice. Thanks for sharing this reminder to seek God’s presence in the quiet! π₯°
Thank you for sharing Hanna.
This reminded me of the verse:
Psalms 46:10 NIV
He says, βBe still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.β

Thank you for sharing precious Hanna and for the reminder because yes we will not hear our Darling Lord when we are busy with everything else and He is not part of it.
Thank you dear Hanna, we need those quiet times with Him every day, not just to pour our hearts out to Him, but also to be still and listen to His soft, gentle voice speaking to us. That is what keeps us close to Him and built our relationship with Him.
