"He must turn away from evil and do good; He must seek peace and pursue it." 1P3:11
Hello, my dears.
It is always great to read and re-read this series How to be blessedβ¦
And this week, especially, it came as a balm to my heart, making me think the right way again⦠letting go of everything, and handing over to God what He needs to take care of.
Principle 10, βName Them One by Oneβ helps us renew our minds, but we know that not resisting evil and instead receiving it, allowing it to increase, is something very difficult to accept or live because we are flesh, and it often wants to scream. But in our Journey we have learned that: βfor evil to be completely destroyed, it must first be allowed to growβ.
So with my mind renewed in this regard, I gladly accepted everything that came to me in these last few weeks, leaving everything for Him to take care of. But I confess that before that I struggled, and only when I fasted and prayed could I feel peace, and letting go was quicker to practice.
When Erin says about pride, that often our βself-pityβ leads us to pride, this is how the enemy tempted me and led me to have wrong thoughts in moments of self-pity, and as we learn here βthese feelings are deeply rooted in PRIDE, we simply believe that we do not deserve itβ.
In this journey I learned that I must take everything to Him, I learned to stay away from evil, to stay quiet in certain environments, taking everything to the Lord and asking if I should give my opinion. Many times it has not been easy to accept the unkind words that people say, but I have learned to seek peace in Him, instead of being right.
One of the wonderful things that has happened to me is reading His Word together with my daughter daily. Not that we didnβt read before, but this was one of the projects for both of us that we have asked Him to help us maintain, so that we can read the entire Bible together this year. And our moments reading have been incredible. That is why I ask Him to help us always read the Word so that it remains engraved in our hearts, seeking Him in every circumstance and waiting for His answer. Do not accept wrong thoughts or proud attitudes.
Oh, My Dear, what I ask of You is that You transform our hearts so that each day we may be guided more by You. May each day we be transformed more into Your brides. Thank you for so much love and care, for these RMI lessons that help us each day to be better women.
Dear brides, may this series be read and reread by us, so that the principles, the Word and the knowledge acquired through a holy life may be well kept in our hearts and we may produce good fruits!
So, my dears, may we let the Lord speak to our hearts and transform what He wants to transform. And let us also remember that He loves to bless us in double portions.
Much love to you,π·
Sweet Marta
Your report has been so encouraging for me. I had talk to Him about HTBB today precisely! It’s not a coincidence β₯οΈ… But much more about this mere chance is that seeking for peace what catches my attention.
I needed to take in mind that “for evil to be completely destroyed, it must first be allowed to growβ… It explains why I have been struggling with out of control events.
It’s a reminder to get closer and bolder to the One who can do everything new again.
I praise Our Love for giving us courage to do what we know is good, His will. Each renewed action pushed by His love lead us to obey and overcome our old “inner person”.
Thanks for sharing.
How wonderful, dear Mia, that He spoke to your heart through this praise.
We know that our flesh is always weak, but our Beloved strengthens Himself in our weaknesses and not only that, when we are in these processes, faith and praise make us believe in the miracles that are to come. They focus our thoughts on His love, His goodness and that everything has a wonderful purpose for our lives.
Being with Him is synonymous with living abundantly, even when we go through trials and struggles. He never abandons us, after all HE IS OUR STRENGTH!
Much love to you!π·
Yes, principle 10 definitely goes against our natural instincts to just “go with the flow” and accept things, especially when we think they are wrong. The idea of letting evil grow before it can be destroyed can feel really backwards and even dangerous, but we have learned and know the truth. A powerful thing we can do is to surrender, to let go and trust that the Lord is in control.
It’s great that you are renewing your mind and choosing to accept what comes your way and reading the Bible with your daughter, leaving everything in His hands. It’s crazy how pride can sneak in, even in moments of self-pity.
Thank you, dear Hope, for being here and helping us to praise Him in all circumstances.
It has been great reading the Bible with Brincy, it has been a great blessing.
Our Beloved always holds us with His loving hands, we are Loved and chosen!
Much love to you! π·
My Beloved Husband has answered me through your praise. Evil must grow to be destroyed, and although in the flesh we don’t like what we see with our eyes, we know He is in control, and all works together for good. In the meantime, we can attack evil, enumerating all the blessings we have received from our Beloved, and find peace.
Thank you, Martha, for your words.
How wonderful, dear Liza, that He answered you through this praise.
Your comment reminded me that my Beloved has guided me to fast, and this has brought peace for me to walk, surrendering everything to Him. It is by following this principle that I have achieved peace to get through the difficult circumstances that try to suffocate me.
May we always be grounded in His Word.
Much love to you!π·
