LOOK for the DOUBLE

This has been such an amazing month and it's without a doubt because I just recently asked the Lord for opportunities to submit Praise Reports !!!

After my sister-in-law's loss (her mom passed away) my brother drove his family down to Florida for a getaway. They'd planned on being gone a long time since my brother also works down there half the time —so they encouraged me to fly down and join them mid-month which "just so happened" to fall on my birthday!!!

An hour before departure, I got notified that my flight had not just been delayed but canceled! I was told that it was due to bad weather (where the aircraft was coming from) and therefore they weren't responsible. Automatically I was rescheduled for the next available date which was two days from then. Couldn't help but feel disappointed but told the Lord He obviously had a reason and that I was going to claim DOUBLE!

“Instead of your shame you will have a DOUBLE portion, and instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion Therefore they will possess a DOUBLE portion in their land, Everlasting joy will be theirs. For I, the LORD, love justice, I hate robbery . . . And I will faithfully give them their recompense And make an everlasting covenant with them”— Isaiah 61:7-8

On the drive home, I talked quietly to Him and asked if He could show me what to do next. I felt Him telling me to call the airline and ask for an extension as the dates had been shortened. Immediately I was connected with a representative who said, "Yes of course!" She then said it'd be completely FREE to extend the date to a later departure, how sorry she was and even gave me choices on the exact day and time I'd return!!!! Is that not incredible???

AND as MAGNIFICENT as that was, He reminded me that He'd only replaced what'd been lost but to now LOOK for the DOUBLE.

“Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you, and therefore He WAITS on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; how blessed are all those who long for Him”—Isaiah 30:18

Since my move to Arizona, I can see that I'm maturing greatly in my faith! I feel as if I've been set free to run after His will for my life like never before. Literally, every single day my Love blesses me, fulfills a need, or a desire.

Here's just one example!

With just a couple of weeks visiting Phoenix, I felt at home. It's a feeling that I can't explain but you just know it's Him because your heart is bursting with joy and peace. So to move forward, I needed to look into an apartment and I needed verification that can only be sent via postal. Sending it to my temporary address wouldn't have been safe as it'd need to go through the host's address. This is when my mom suggested obtaining a local POB. It was perfect! I filled out the online application, paid, printed the paperwork and headed to the nearest post office where I'd reserved the box.

When I got up to the postal worker, he looked at my two forms of ID and said I needed more than what I had (I'd given my drivers license and passport —not paying attention to the meaning of the second ID). The second form of ID had to be either a vehicles registration, mortgage documentation or something else with my name on it which I did not have.

“Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.” —James 1:2–3

The vehicle that I passed on to my brother was never in my name and mortgage well of course you know I didn't have. When I shared how I didn't have these, he said then he couldn't do it and that I MUST have one of these. Walking away frustratedly the postal worker said he'd go get his boss.

A few minutes later, his boss walks out from the back with him and waved me down to another computer. He looked down at my paperwork and a single form of ID and says, "You have the second one, it's fine." WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! I could have walked into any post office and reserved a box, spoken with anyone else and yet He lead me there. Legally, the supervisor should not have allowed me to have that box but NOTHING is impossible with God and it confirmed I was at the center of His will!!!

“Nothing is impossible with God” —Luke 1:37

“Many seek the ruler’s favor, but justice for man comes from the Lord” —Prov. 29:26

"Your ears will hear a word behind you, 'This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.'" —Isaiah 30:21
