Crazy in Love with my Heavenly Husband

It has been a while now that my FMIL is having some health issues and so she is not allowed to drive any more. So I and the children offered to do her shopping for her once or twice a week.

The children grumbled because there are lots more fun things to do than go shopping for grandma, but I reminded them when she was well, how many things she always did for us and that we need to be kind to her in this time even though she is not always kind to us due to her not feeling well. And ultimately that the Lord needs us to turn the other the cheek and honour her because she is their grandmother.

They stopped grumbling and the one day we went to buy a few things for her and as we were paying and leaving the store, the lady behind us called us back and asked us if she can buy them each an ice-cream. After I picked my jaw up from the ground I accepted and thanked her. And as we walked out of the shop, my kids were so surprised because that just does not happen and before I could even teach them the lesson my daughter said, it is because we are shopping for grandma that the Lord is giving us an ice-cream:):):)

Then a few weeks later we had plans for a Saturday morning but grandma wanted some things from the shops so we decided we will put our plans on hold and just help her out. In that mall there is one of our favorite places to visit, it is a hobby shop, arts, and crafts and stationary all rolled into one. We would sometimes spend an hour in there even though we only went to buy one thing. So this morning they asked to go in there and I took them when we came to the front door we were stopped. They were having a promotion and were giving out gift bags to the children. Wow, a whole bag full of arts and crafts gifts. I was so stunned, so surprised at how the Lord just keeps on blessing them every time they go shopping for grandma without complaining.

The next time we went shopping, grandma gave them money and told them to buy themselves something they want! Can you believe how amazing the Lord is? I was so amazed by Him teaching my children a lesson with me hardly having to say a thing πŸ™‚ They are learning principles and lessons I have only began to grasp in the last few years.

I cannot tell you how crazy in love I am with my Heavenly Husband for giving our children so much and teaching them at the same time πŸ™‚

"Dedicate your children to God and point them in the way that they should go, and the values they’ve learned from you will be with them for life." Proverbs 22:6 TPT

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6 KJV

The thing is reading these verses, it is not even me teaching them, it is Him, so I can take absolutely none of the credit. It is all just Him!!!
