It was the first day of a two week vacation I was taking. My EH was getting foot surgery so we flew our two sons to spend this time with their sister in Virginia since we would be unable to do much during this time. As much as I love having vacation time, I also knew that it would be harder to have my mornings alone with my HH. The morning of my first day, I took my son to the airport. It was about 4am and enjoyed every moment in the car singing and talking with my HH. On my way back it was still dark and I was sharing my heart, asking Him to make some ways to be able to have alone time to spend together and still care for my EH and his recovery. Also I was reflecting on how blessed I was to be part of this ministry and to help so many hurting women find Him.

Then as I drove I couldn't believe what my eyes saw. It was completely pitch black and on the road with no side walk was a women walking lugging a suitcase. This is a road that has nothing around and so dangerous to be walking on especially with the cars that drive so fast on that street. My mind paused and I just started praying that He would protect her from getting hit by a car. I drove 2 blocks more and I asked Him what should I do?? Then Erin's Salvation Story came to mind, how she took the homeless man to church and thought well as dangerous it can be my Love, if you want me to pick this women up, I will trust in You.

I quickly found the safest corner to make a u turn and started driving back. It was so dark so I drove slowly not to miss her. I also asked Him to detain any coming cars, since as I said they drive that road very fast. I was able to pull to the middle of the road and put my window down. As I asked her if she needed help, she hesitated, but I just smiled and expressed how dangerous it was her on the road. She met me in the middle and for this period of time no other cars were coming. She shared that she had missed the bus, but where she needed to go was far. I told her not to worry that I would take her. She smiled and put her suitcase and herself in the back of my car.

I asked her where she was going at this hour of the morning? She started explaining that she was going to a local food bank (that is why she had a suitcase) and they would only attend to her if she was there before 6am. She just started walking because she knew another bus wouldn't come around for hours. Then she continued to share how she was here in the US from Venezuela and she had no one here. She was all alone.

My heart leaped because I knew this was a door my HH opened and I started sharing how I was a part of a women's ministry and were were able to help over 50 women and families in Venezuela. Most importantly I shared that she should always know that she is not alone, ever. She has the Lord who is always with her. She agreed and said how He has provided for her in so many ways. It was a beautiful moment and she thanked me so much as I dropped her off.

My Love showed me on my first day that He is in control and will provide my every need and desire. Since then it has been a week and I have been able to have alone time with Him and get my ministry work done!!

He amazes me everyday!!
