A Trampoline, a Prayer, and a Big Blessing

"Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." P1004Β

I just want to take a moment to praise the Lord for everything He’s doing in my life.

For the past couple of weeks, I had been praying for a safe trampoline for my kids. We live in the countryside, and one of my husband’s uncles had brought over a trampoline that was in really bad shape. The kids were getting hurt on it, and I knew it wasn’t safe. Just for contextβ€”I have a set of identical twin girls who are eight, a three-year-old daughter, and my oldest is 18. Yes, I have only girls!

I was honestly freaking out about them getting hurt, so I began to pray. I knew that a safe trampoline would be life-changing for usβ€”not just because they could play safely, but because it would give me peace of mind while I worked, knowing they were safe and happy.

Last Friday, He answered our prayers and provided the money to buy a brand-new trampoline. I was amazed and so happy! It reminded me how everything can change in a moment when you pray, when you speak out your needs, when you share your vision, and when God places friends in your life who are willing to bless you.

Two amazing friends helped us by blessing us with the money for the trampoline. But the story doesn’t end there. My husband and I prayed that we’d find the right one. Since we live far from the city, it’s sometimes difficult to get what we need locally. We searched and felt led to drive 40 minutes to Panama (the nearby country), and that’s where we found exactly what we needed.

When we arrived at the first mall, the trampolines were on saleβ€”exactly the 12-foot size we had prayed for! As if that wasn’t enough, my husband noticed the owner of the store was there and asked him for an extra discount. The owner kindly gave us $10 off, on top of the sale price, and even included a one-month warranty.

We were praising the Lord right there in the mall!

But My Beloved wasn’t finished. I saw a beautiful coloring book that my girls could use to improve their writing skillsβ€”so I got it. Then, as we walked to pay for the trampoline, the girls spotted some water bottles they had wanted for a while. They were on sale too! We bought fourβ€”one for each daughter.

And believe it or not, we even had enough left over to buy pizza for lunch.

I just want to encourage you today: keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep putting the Lord first. Have a vision for what He can do in your lifeβ€”because He is more than able to do all things through Him.

Today, I enter His courts with thanksgiving, because truly, the Lord is so, so good.

Thank you, ladies. Have a blessed day!

My children also have desires – this morning, my daughter asked me to buy something that I told her that it was too expensive, thank you for encouraging me, because I know that if it’s something that her HF can bless her with, so I’ll “keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep putting the Lord first. Have a vision for what He can do in my and in my children lives…” And I really want to teach them how wonderful He always is πŸ’“πŸ’“
