Dear Brides, in this Chapter 1 "The Poverty Mentality Defined" you will learn to 'declare' speak over a situation, declare that your loved one will be saved instead of pleading to the Lord, remember words are powerful. Our Lord created the heavens and the earth with words. And He declared that we have the same power if we just have the faith.
Matthew 19:26 (NLT) Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
I believe that the Lord has been showing me that in order to have a mountain moved you should be doing the right thing. In other words you cannot, for example, ask and believe for a mountain to move if it is not in His will. You cannot ask God to send you somewhere when you know that the place you are going to will be wrong for you. And cause you to stumble in your faith.
That when I have a mountain before me, a situation that I need to have changed. I must speak it out and tell the mountain. Hey, I am going to be free from this addiction. I will declare that it is so, that I am free and no longer cry out to God to help me but cry out declaring that I am free!!
“Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him” (Mark 11: 23).
I have a lot of close family members that have not been saved. I have tried in the past to speak to them about my faith. This chapter has taught me that when you do that a wall will go up between you and the person or persons you are believing to come to know the Lord. I learnt that you have to live by example. They have to see the living God in you. Always speaking about Him in a positive way declaring His goodness and what He has done in your life will motivate others to get to know Him.
Dear Lord, for so long now I have cried out to you to deliver me from this addiction. Maybe it is because I have not believed that it is possible to be set free from it because I have tried so many times, I have cried out to You so many times and have not seen change. Give me more FAITH to believe that I can overcome this and not doubt. You say when we doubt we cannot expect anything from you.
Dear Brides, I would like to encourage you to really ponder on the way Erin in this Chapter 1 "The Poverty Mentality Defined" dealt with a certain situation and apply it in your own lives. But be patient it might take a while for it to manifest but if you truly believe and especially if He gave you a word then it WILL happen.

I am not going to comment on this book Poverty Mentality as yet because I have only read one chapter thus far. But if I have to go on the previous books this author has written then all I can say that it is a MUST read and that it WILL change your life.
