Do You Really Believe?

♕ Today's Promise: ‘When I sent you out without money belt and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?’ They said, ‘No, nothing’” (Luke 22:35)

Dear Brides, do you really believe? I thought that I did, but after reading this Chapter 2 "What Do You Believe?" I realize that I still continue to walk with a Poverty Mentality, not trusting in His provision and His time to give me what I need.

I am amazed by all that I read in this chapter, it summarizes what I have been feeling these past months. It is so interesting how we can "forget" or we don't live what His words says to us when we are going through a hard situation, mainly financially.

It is very easy to say that he will supply for all my needs, but when the day really come, I found myself struggling to trust Him.

Philippians 4:19 “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus.”

I understand that being the daughter of the Almighty God, and the Bride of His Son, nothing will lack for me, never! Even before I read this chapter He was already speaking to my heart about my anxiety in times when financial resources look scarce, but they are not. It's just my unbelief that let my thoughts go crazy or trying to save instead of giving to others.

As I need to help my family who lives in another country, I quite often found myself struggling during the time of the month when I need to send them money. But He always makes a way. He is amazing and so good.

I want to remember all the times that He made a way, all the times He blessed me, not just financially, but in all areas of my life, and have a thankful heart that I can praise Him because I shall never want. He never leaves me, and I know that when sometimes He allows things to happen, so He can bring me closer to Him, to test my faith.

Dear Beloved, thank you so much for your kindness and love, and for confirming what you have been speaking with me through this Chapter "What Do You Believe?". Lord, please help me to understand what I've read and to practice what I've learned, help me to trust you and to give to others because it's better to give than to receive. Give me the wisdom to walk in your truth and to share what I've learned from you to others that are also struggling where they think there is a lack in their lives.

Bring to my mind all the things that you have done in the past, so I can rejoice and trust in you during the present time. Lord, I want to confess my unbelief and ingratitude towards you. This is the root of my anxiety during the times when I think that something is lacking, but you always are so faithful, and you always provide for all my needs. Forgive me for my lacking of trusting in you and for the attitudes and actions that I take that doesn't reflect that you are the first one in my life and is always with me.

Dear Brides, let Him speak to you, open your mind and heart to receive the teachings that come from Him, and break free of the poverty mentality.

Poverty Mentality is a book that will help you to evaluate all areas of your life, some of them you thought that you are doing well until you see that to get closer to Him, you will need to step in and walk in faith.

“Jesus sat down opposite the treasury, where people came to bring their offerings, and He watched as they came and went. Many rich people threw in large sums of money, but a poor widow came and put in only two small coins worth only a fraction of a cent.” Mark 12:41-44
