Encouraging Women Podcast: “The Dangers of Custody and why to be His Bride”

β€œLove is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” 1C1347

  1. I just loved listening to you, it put this huge smile on my face, it felt I was sitting with you.
Wow yes He really does know everything.
I just got tears in my eyes now, because when Yvonne you talked about the word ditzy, how you will forget your keys and you thought He will change that, but He didn’t. I asked Him to change me because I can be so indecisive with for instance must I do this or that, (but now I have to laugh because we would also joke that I am under cover blond, like Erin mentioned the blond), now I get it why the Lord hasn’t changed me, because that is one of the things in my life that I really have to rely more on Him. I am for sure ditzy and now that I think of it, it has caused a lot of laughs with my Husband. Thank you for the laugh Adina also.
My mum and dad flighted a lot when we were kids, but they stayed together and seeing them grow old together and taking care of each other is lovely.
Wow I love it when Erin said when you do mess, get excited because He is going to bail you out. For so long I was the “fixer” trying to keep everything together, which I of course couldn’t because apart from Him I can do nothing, so it is so freeing to give it to Him. Wow I wanted to spare my children from the hurt, because I would even buy gifts from their dad, “try and force” him to be an involved dad, until I couldn’t any more and I had to stop sparing them from the hurt I thought I protected them from and now I see the empathy in my children. (And here I also have to share, not for one moment I was the perfect mum, I made so many many mistakes).
Wow I love it, you can be ditzy, you can be anything, it is not trusting in us but in HIM and believe me I really made so many mistakes and me and their dad were the worst example to our children, but He, our precious Beloved Lord is in control!
Just yesterday I was with my special son at my outside job. We climbed in the lift and inside the lift was one of my big bosses. I didn’t know it was him because he didn’t have a uniform on and I didn’t know the men with him was his protectors. We greeted and he started chatting with my son and asked how my son’s day was, when my son replied good thank you and how was your day sir. When we climbed out the boss came to great my son with a hand shake and when he walked to the his car I realized it was one of the big bosses (because they park at a certain place) and I immediately said to my son thank you that you greeted with so much respect, I really felt proud to have you as my son with such beautiful manners. It wasn’t me, it was all HIM!!!
I loved this podcast, thank you so much ladies, I needed this. And you can see I enjoyed this podcast so much, I chatted along.

    1. Awwh thank you for sharing about your son and how he greeted your boss with respect. I can imagine how proud you must have felt! It is amazing how our Beloved Lord helps us to raise our children despite our circumstances that might not be ideal. How privileged are we to not only have our Beloved Lord but an ever-present and the wisest Heavenly Father for our children!

I had such an amazing time during this podcast! He just reminded me of these verses:
“Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, β€œThe Lord has done great things for them.” https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+126%3A2&version=ESV

“A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs+17%3A22&version=ESV
