Hello Brides!! Today is Friday, I hope you are ready for our LALTour PR o/o/ There are so many things to share, much happened during the last week since I wrote you.
I want to start by thanking my HH for His sufficient Grace. Thank you Beloved for the beautiful friends that You gave me, for the opportunity to meet and fellowship with Tara and Nehir. There are no words to express how grateful I am for having them in my life, and for being able to meet with your Brides around the world, sharing about Your love and who You are and who You can be to women, their Husband.
We had a lovely week and we can’t get over the fact that we really feel like brides on a honeymoon! The first place that we went was the Hamam or Turkish Bath. The hamam is part of the Turkish culture, the only time that I went to one was when I newly married many years ago, but the experience that I had with Tara last week as His bride was far beyond my expectations.
The hamam that we went is just for women and guess what Brides!?! Men are not allowed to enter the facilities. He is just the perfect HH.
We paid for our entrance and put on our matching swimsuits;) and went to the marble room (if you are curious about what a hamam “Turkish bath” looks like, follow us on Instagram). The marble room is heated and where we wash our bodies with hot water, preparing our skin to receive the necessary care. After 30 minutes enjoying the warmth (BTW it’s a good place for fellowship), it was time to go to the other room, where we had our skin exfoliated, cleaned and massaged by professional Turkish women. When the massage was done, we went back to the marble room for another shower, following of a steam room and the last but very important a cold shower! We loved all the pampering, it was a lovely day that we spend together.
During the weekend we went to visit Nehir in Alanya! When we got to the city the first thing that we did was to go to her working place! I do not know who was more excited, it was the first time Tara met her, it was funny to see them communicate with one another. Tara spoke in English and Nehir responded in Turkish — I don’t know how they could understand each other, but they did, Praise Him! I think that was His love that brought the understanding 🙂
After meeting Nehir, we went to explore the city, our first stop was the castle, an amazing location and the postcard of Alanya. We saw the ruins of an old Christian church, learned about the history of the place, enjoying our time, the great view and the delicious food made by locals who still live in the castle or better yet inside the castle walls:)
At night we had dinner with Nehir and had more time to fellowship, learn more about her and her journey with the Lord. She has so many beautiful testimonies, it’s incredible the work He is doing in her life. She shared about the Turkish culture and took us to a place with live music; Turkish women love to dance (oynamak) and she said she would teach us “Oh Lord…” The place was crowded, people sitting at their tables drinking tea and eating popcorn, I never saw it in my life. It was time for the dancing, Nehir is good at it, so when the music started she went to the center, where only women dance (here women and men normally don’t dance together) and Tara and I decide to make a video of this fun experience. We were watching Nehir dancing the Turkish traditional songs with other women laughing together when I heard Tara saying: “Please hold my phone, I want to join them” and she went, dancing her way to the center and I was left there with my mouth wide open! When the shock passed I couldn’t stop laughing, who knew that she could dance like a Turkish woman :)))
On the next day, Nehir brought us to her favorite place with waterfalls where we had more fellowship and heard more about her life and testimonies. In the afternoon, Tara and I went for a boat tour on the Mediterraneo. We marveled with the mountains, the sea and all of His creations, we couldn´t stop praising Him for all the beauty that he was showing us.
The boat tour was beautiful, but I confess that for me was a little intense. I was nervous because I am afraid of the sea, but not Tara, she is the adventurous one 😉 There I was “fighting for my life” trying to sit quietly and stable when she was laughing, making videos and walking everywhere. I don’t know how she was able to remain standing with all the movements that the boat was doing. The sweetest thing was she trying to comfort me: “Don’t worry, The Lord is in control and I am a good swimmer, thanks to my mom!!”
We had other plans for traveling, but where He took us was far better. We are now back at our flat. Thank You, HH, for Your love and for the beautiful moments you gave us! I can´t wait to see where You will lead us the following week!!
See you next Friday Brides!!!
