I just wanted to share a funny encounter I had with my Love. A week ago He led me to read the Bible – starting from Genesis and Matthew. A few chapters from old and new everyday.
I use the narrator provided by the app, which helps me understand how the names are pronounced. We all know it’s kind of hard to identify how these names should be read.
Here’s the funny bit, I was reading one of the books of RMT. And there was a word, “Ashamed”. And I read it as “A-Sha-med”. Then I told my Love, what’s the meaning of “A-sha-med”? I was about to google it as it got me really confused. When He told me it’s “a-sheymd”! I laughed! I told Him I read it that way because of the names I’ve been hearing in the book of Genesis! I didn’t blame Him, of course!
It took quite a while before I stopped laughing about it. I thanked Him for making me laugh because just hours before I cried out to Him due to me being unable fully to let go.
After that brief moment, I realized He cares for me more than I know. He even wants to make me laugh.
Today, He made letting go easier for me than it was days before. Because I know, I have Him and I can be happy even if it’s just me and Him.
My heart is so full! I actually had a dream last night, that one of my praise reports got posted! I specifically requested Him last night if I can please have a happy dream. I’m surprised that this funny encounter I had with my Love will be posted here! I hope these made you laugh as well, as it is still funny to me whenever I remember it.
And this is so perfectly timed! I’m here at my bedroom, about to have a mini breakdown session with my Love. When I received this notification. I looked at the title and it sounded familiar. Again, he made me happy! Just when I was about to succumb to all the negative emotions I am feeling, He gave me another reason to be happy.
Indeed He is the source of my Joy!
Hello……after reading your praise report I also had to laugh 😂 and i am happy that you still laugh about the moment. Thank you for sharing this funny moment. What a moment my Beloved our Lord shows me that I am doing the same as another bride. I am glad that I am not alone in this. For a moment I felt lonely. I understand what you mean. I too would like to read the Bible the way it should be read. What the pronunciation is or especially know what something means. Last week I discovered that there is a Bible dictionary that can help me with this. I did not know that. You are absolutely right that our Lord cares so much about us that He likes to see us laugh and if that can be done through a word from His letters then He will use that. We can fully trust Him that He is our source of help and joy at any moment in our life.
