♕ Today's Promise: “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice.” 1 Samuel 15:22

Dear Brides, this chapter, “Obedience Rather Than Sacrifice” added to what I had learned in previous lessons about giving, it gave me the encouragement I need to be obedient to what I knew the Lord was urging me to do and I must mention and tell you that it led to an ENORMOUS blessing \o/ \o/ \o/

What I learned and what He has taught me is to not be afraid to give and I love what the writer wrote where she said her son said that he would no longer focus on getting the money he needed but he would instead focus on giving.

What I was compelled to do is to give more than my tithe. He was laying on my heart to give more than my tithe, what I understood is that my level of faith had to increase in proportion to my giving, He takes us from glory to glory. It started with me tithing 10% and overcoming the hurdle of tithing to my storehouse but I can see now that He wants to take me higher and that meant me giving more. A tithe and an offering.

A specific example is the 3 part praise that I submitted after He had led me to tithe 20% instead of 10%. No it wasn't easy and I must admit I feared and it was only HIS PERFECT LOVE that drove away that fear knowing that He is true to His promise even though I could not comprehend how He would sort out the financial mess we were in.

But He did!! He did it \o/ He is faithful and true to His promises and it is ok to not understand and just be obedient.

I will be living out this principle by remembering to GIVE, the other area that He has been showing me is to give away is my time to help others and to give encouragement and support, kind words to those He brings into my life.

Dear Brides, I want to honestly tell you that not only did I learn from this chapter but I reaped a tremendous blessing from following and putting into practice and being obedient to God's word and the principles shared in this chapter. My joy is COMPLETE!!

“Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice.” 1 Samuel 15:22

It is not easy to obey when you feel God's urging of what He wants you to do but it is better to just obey.

“Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” Luke 6:38

Giving is the key, a very important key, it is never easy to give because we feel that struggle in our flesh but that is when we need to focus on the PROMISE.
