"The land you are . . . to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven. It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end." D11:11โ12
Today marks the first day of His many promises for us in the new year. This year I want to fully lean on Him for guidance, peace and joy.
When I read through the first daily devotional of Streams in the desert; I felt a sense of peace. He will never let me fall. This year I would like to put all my hope in Him.
He leads us on by paths we did not know;
Upward He leads us, though our steps be slow,
Though oft we faint and falter on the way,
Though storms and darkness oft obscure the day;
Yet when the clouds are gone,
We know He leads us on.
He leads us on through all the unquiet years;
Past all our dreamland hopes, and doubts and fears,
He guides our steps, through all the tangled maze
Of losses, sorrows, and oโer clouded days;
We know His will is done;
And still He leads us on.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come, the old has gone, the new is here!" 2C5:17
I love what you share and it amazing how He speaks to us this promise has been going on and on in my mind so I know He is doing something new in me and around me.
Last night, while I was in the kitchen, I was reading The Stream in the dessert, and this text reminds me of a life lesson: He leads me. I know that when I let Him lead me, He will smooth the paths of my life. He leads me to green pastures. But as soon as I make my own little plans and lead myself into barren places ๐ฌ, I stop only to ask Him again: Lead me…
Thank you for sharing precious Elora, this part stood out for me now: He guides our steps, through all the tangled maze.
Without His guidance I wont make it, because when I lean on my own understanding it is always a mess.
This is the beautiful promise my Darling Lord gave me for this year for UiteindelikHoop.com
“I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing.[a] I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.” E34:26

What a beautiful reflection, dear Elora, it is so full of truth, because He certainly takes care of us, while He leads us through valleys, mountains, deserts or whatever it is that each of us must face right now, He is here. Believing in that gives me peace.
I agree with you that everything is written, from ancient times, there is nothing that can surprise Him and for that reason, we can trust that He already knows what is coming and He will NOT leave us nor forsake us in what He has destined for the future. Which I choose to think will be good and will work for the good of each one of us.
It will be a year full of blessings. Where our greatest blessing will be to know Him more deeply, and to be loved by the King of the universe.
I feel the same way! It’s so comforting to know that He will never let us fall.
He guides us through unfamiliar paths, leading us higher even if we’re slow. He helps us through the tough times – losing loved ones, sadness, and other bad days.
I love the verse from 2 Corinthians 5:17, it’s a great reminder that we are new creations.
I will lead the blind by a way they do not know, I will guide them in paths they do not know; I will turn the darkness into light before them, And the rough places into plain. These things I will do, And will not leave them undone. ‘

Elora, it is so wonderful to feel His love, and how He guides us through this Journey.
He is our strength, and through everything we may encounter, we know that we are never alone, because He promised to be with us.
Thank you for such beautiful praise, and all the Glory and Praise to Our Beloved Lord.
Thank you for sharing this Elora. It is amazing to know it is my Beloved who guides me each and every step of the way, I do not have to be afraid or anxious because He is right there next to us.
