About a year ago, Veronica from RBG mentioned a Women’s Retreat that she would love for me to go. From that time on we gave it our HH as our heart’s desire. In about April we discussed it again and we agreed if it was from Him, He would make a way. About a month later out of nowhere, my EH and I started discussing California, since our oldest daughter used to live there. That is when I heard my HH say “ask him now.” So I mentioned this invitation to this retreat happening in California and after many questions and explanations, my EH agreed. My heart JUMPED for joy because HE did make a way!!!
Upon arrival, Veronica met me at the airport and we waited an hour for Nancy, who just returned to RMI, RBG and her HH after some time away (another PR will be needed just for her). We all hugged and connected like we had known each other for years. It was so precious to finally see each other face to face.
On our way back to her home, Veronica mentioned her EH had been upset with her for a couple of days and we assured her that our HH was in control. We met her beautiful children, her son is married and expecting his second child, and the rest, 17-year-old, 16-year-old, 11-year-old, 10-year-old and 6-year-old are all girls. Yes, Vero has 6 children and I especially enjoyed the youngest Abigail, helping her with her homework. (it’s the school teacher in me)
We took the two youngest to gymnastics and while there, Vero’s EH showed up and we introduced ourselves. It was brief and he left again back to work. On our way back to the home she sees her EH van driving away and the cars meet. He says he is leaving to do a night job and she offers him dinner before he leaves. So he turned his car around and we all met at the house. Sitting at the dining table he began asking questions about us and our families. We laughed as he shared how he mentally pictured us, (I was an old lady with glasses and grey hair) and now meeting in person.
What was amazing is what happened after the four of us sat down to eat. Veronica’s EH opened up his heart to us. He very seriously said, “my plans were to leave this weekend so I would not meet you both. I have been very upset with Veronica and I struggle with this. But after meeting you, I want to share that I want what you all have. I sometimes want to strangle Vero, (he said it in a funny way) but then I see her and now I see you both, and I want what you have. I don’t know how yet, but need to get it, I want to get closer to God. People always come to me for advice and I don’t know why, but I want to be able to know His word to help them.”
We all almost fell off our chairs. I mean that was what we did in spirit, LOL!!! We let him talk and listened in an understanding way and he shared much more. After our time together, (he never left to work) the 3 of us were able to PTL for His faithfulness. We learned so much from the perspective of a man, and that is why he wants to share, so men can also be ministered to.
After that evening he was all smiles and very attentive to all of us. The very next day was our trip to the mountains. There were over 300 women and we were able to be blessed by so much time of fellowship. There were many guest speakers, praise and worship, and delicious meals and snacks. We also ministered to many women. Saturday we all wore T-shirts Vero had made for us and during our break time sold the RYM and WW books. Some were donated as our HH lead us to. There are so many women, in the church, who are in need of a Heavenly Husband. We were so welcomed from all the women there and were invited to come back next year and perhaps do a skit that shares our desire for all women, to be completely His, His Bride!!
