These past two weeks the Lord really showed me that becoming a worker at home was the right decision. Not that I doubted Him and taking such a big step in faith for Him, was instantly rewarded:)
My daughter became ill, just a cold to begin with, but the cold became an infection and one day she would be fine and the next day the school would phone me to come and fetch her. She was on and off for these past 2 weeks and if it wasn’t for the fact that I was now working from home, this would have been much more challenging.
Usually, my MIL would have been there to help out but it just so happens that at that stage she was terribly ill herself which means I had to go to the shops for her as she could not drive herself. If I still had my old job, I cannot begin to imagine how I would have juggled it all and how absolutely exhausted it would have left me.
The Lord is just so absolutely wonderful. There are no words for me to thank Him for all He has done and is still doing in my life.
This morning, my children and I were talking about how even before they ask me for something they must go to the Lord first and I am not even sure how we came onto the topic of home-schooling, but I reminded them how Erin’s daughter never attended school and was home-schooled and what a precious young woman she has become. So my daughter asked me if she cannot be home-schooled and I told her to talk to the Lord about it. And then just there in the car, she prayed. So I cannot wait to tell you about the miracles He is going to do in my children’s lives as well.
Every time I look back on my life, I would not even have envisioned this for myself. The first time I read the verse that He would do exceeding abundantly more than we ask and think, I did not grasp it’s full meaning, because all I had in mind was marriage restoration. Wow, did He exceed all those expectations, in such a way that marriage restoration is not even the big thing anymore:) I am trusting Him now for far bigger things than that because He will do even more. Not because of anything I do, but just because of who He is. That is the best part. All we have to do to qualify is to love and obey Him:):):)
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21 (NKJV)
“Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV)
