Dear Brides, Do not hesitate to read this book. It allows us to truly understand what it means to honor God through all aspects of our lives.
Several months ago, I tried to follow a routine. And as far back as I remember it was a truly liberating experience. I could do a lot of things during the day and I even found time to rest. I understand today reading Chapter 4 Making the Most of Your Day "Establishing a Routine" that this idea did not come from me, but that it is the Holy Spirit who inspired me. However, I stopped following this routine. There were several changes to my timetable at my workplace (which I was very upset about) and it discouraged me. I should have persevered by establishing a new routine, instead of living painfully from day to day.
I want to live these new principles with the help of my HH by asking Him to help me to establish the following:
- Set bedtimes
- Establish a routine (I will do more in a day, have time to rest)
- Plan a menu
- Try to always eat at home
- Do not be afraid to share my food
- Cooking will help me to save money
I ask you all the time: Lord I beg you lead me by Your Holy Spirit. Too often, I have the impression that You do not do it, that You leave me alone. However, I have confirmation today that You guide me by Your Spirit and that I am too stupid, too lazy or too rebellious to obey you. The worst part is that I often wonder about the results of my actions in my life. I ask your Lord Jesus for forgiveness for my refusal to understand and even to learn. I humbly ask you for forgiveness.
Lord Jesus, You do not stop talking to me, guiding me with patience. It is high time that I obey. I have to stop thinking that I can work my way, I just have to obey. It is You who will give me the strength to stand against obstacles, You will separate the Red Sea only when I find myself in front of it. I have to get out of what I believe to be a comfort zone. You do not ask me to do heroic things.
“Instead, you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we shall live and also do this or that.’" —James 4:15
This verse reminds me that the Lord is the master of time and events. It's very good to plan my days, to have a roadmap. God loves order and discipline. Moreover, all this is good for my own self-fulfillment. However, I must not fall into the trap of thinking that I control my life and everything that can happen. I make plans, but it is God who disposes of my life.
