Beautiful Opportunities

I have learned so many things on my journey, but something I have learned last year with the custody arrangements are that sometimes our plans doesn’t work out the way we wanted it to work out or prayed about. But every time my Husband had something better in mind.

Here in South Africa, we have a short school holiday during October, normally it’s just a week, but because my children are in a private school, they have a two-week holiday. I was talking to my Husband about it and told Him that I would love to have the children during the first week, that would basically be “off-season” and cheaper to do some things with the children. But when I received the schedule from my fh it turned out that I would have them the second week. I agreed not saying anything and just gave it to my Husband Who had something better in mind (that was the only holiday last year that didn’t work out quite the way I talked to HH about). When I went to fetch the children and at the same time go to my friend for a hair appointment, she asked me if me and the children wanted to join them the second week while they went camping, at a camp site in my town, we joined them for two days and had a blessed time and He even provided a visit to the lion park which I didn’t know was in my town. My Husband had a better plan that I didn’t know about and looking back I know why it didn’t work out the way I wanted it to work out.

Something similar happened last week, my niece told me about a waterpark close to where I live, and I wanted to take the kids there. I tried to make a booking for the Saturday, but after sending a mail and tried to book on their website, I didn’t hear anything back. I was a bit sad because my kids really wanted to go, but then my niece also told me about a jumping place close to home. I went online and booked for that Saturday, and it was successful. When we woke up the Saturday morning it was raining, and I realised that it was the reason my Husband didn’t let the waterpark happen, He knew that it was going to rain and going to the waterpark wouldn’t work out :).

But me and the children had a beautiful time at the jumping place where there are trampolines, foam pits and climbing walls. They jumped and climbed and just enjoyed themselves so much, I even wanted to join in, but I only booked for them. But I will take them there again and I told them that next time I will join them and do everything with them :):).

My sweet Husband just creates and provides these beautiful opportunities for me and the children to do things together and spending time together, sometimes costing me nothing or at a very reduced price, making the most of the time I have with them to just have great times together, built memories and to teach them.

  1. Hi Adina,
I feel related with what you shared about the Lord answering to our prayers in a different way we are expecting but doing it to surprise us with bigger results that we have never could possibly imagine.
I feel so loved each time He takes care of me in all those inimaginable ways, that I would like to encourage the rest of the brides to keep their hearts open when things do not go they way they were expecting. Even when we see things going upside down, it is because there is something great just around the corner ready to come to us.
So happy to see that the kids had an amazing time with what His Heavenly Father planned for them in those two different times.

  2. Totally agree with you both! When we just leave everything to Him we are free to RELAX and simply trust we have a Husband and Father who is both THE weatherman and has every connection on earth to provide the perfect situation to enjoy the abundant life He died to give us πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’
