My beloved Heavenly Husband fulfilled another desire of my heart and I was in Slovakia visiting my ePartner Bernie. It was our second meeting that was not possible for months due to travel restrictions because of coronavirus. I really wanted to meet, but also to see Slovakia for the first time. Since I was little, I had a desire in my heart to travel and learn about other cultures, but it seemed out of reach and for many years was not possible. However, my Beloved fulfills it just like many other desires of my heart.
I decided to go to Bernie by car because the distance between us is not too long, but I was afraid of driving in another country for the first time, even though the rules are so similar. The evening before the day of travel, I talked to my HH (Heavenly Husband) about my fears and let them go into His hands, remembering that He would come with me and He had everything under control, so I had nothing to fear. I had His peace all the way, I sang love songs and the road turned out to be quite simple. It is actually more difficult in my area, where there are many serpentines and lots of hills and steep falls, which I was very afraid of the first time and I was so tense when driving that all my muscles ached. This time, despite the fact that I was driving twice as long, I was completely relaxed so nothing hurt me and I felt no fear at all in places where I had previously been panicking. Praise the Lord!!!
Bernie forgot to give me the number of her flat, but when I came to the address, one of her neighbors was just leaving. I asked him if he knew which floor she was living on and he explained to me where her flat was. It was wonderful to meet for the second time, and I also have very good memories of having meals together and enjoying each other's company. We were visiting the nearby city and we had problems with a few things, such as navigation, but I am glad that I recently re-read the book "Prison to Praise" and automatically from my mouth came out "praise the Lord" in every such situation, it did not spoil my humor and I could only stay joyful knowing that He was in control and was using everything for our good.
On one of the days of my visit, we met another Slovak bride, Sofia, and we went to the mountains together, we went sightseeing along the way and I was able to taste the local cuisine. We had a picnic by the lake and the whole day flew by very quickly because we had a great time. Sofia communicated with me mainly in Slovak, and I communicated with her in Polish, and we understood each other for the most part. Our conversations in three languages, also in English, are sometimes very funny and I enjoy it. I really like learning new languages and I am happy with a few phrases and words that I picked up in Slovak, I think I will continue this learning.
My beloved Husband fulfills the desires of my heart, which I have had since I was a child, to visit other countries and meet people from other cultures, and those I had when I found RMI (Restore Ministries International), to meet other brides myself. He helps me move beyond my comfort zone, blesses me with new friendships, and is always there for me when I need Him. How can you not love such a Husband? He is the best!!
