Here is the little testimony I would like to share with you Tara. It’s about obedience and the Lord’s faithfulness when we seek Him.
I have been thinking for a long time to find a way to tithe in RMI. It was really a concern for me. First I was tithing to the local church. Then I changed my mind. Since I could not figure out a way to transfer money directly to the Ministry, I started printing copies of the “Wise Woman” book and distributed them to the women around me. I did it for few months. But I realized that I was wrong. I still struggled to make ends meet despite a salary increase. I apologized to God for “deciding” on the use of His money. I was also unhappy because I saw that the books I had distributed to some women did not serve them at all. While visiting a few I saw that the books were left in a corner of their living room. There is also a divorced colleague to whom I gave the books “Restore your marriage” and a “wise woman” and that I had the impression that she was avoiding me. I felt really bad because not only did I not pay my tithe properly, but I feared that I had made a mistake that would rather trouble these women’s faith.
So I began to beg the Lord to show me a way to tithe in RMI. I told him that I sincerely regretted my mistakes, that I really wanted to do what is right.
God is so faithful Tara! When I looked for His advice and showed that this time I wanted to totally surrender, He led me and told me how to tithe properly. He did not stop there! He also showed me that contrary to what I thought I had not distributed these books in vain. I went to visit my little sister one day and she told me how the chapter “The ways of her household” of the book “a wise woman” helped her to overcome a difficult situation that she experienced in her home. She told me that she tries to be a submissive and respectful wife thanks to the teachings of the book. My divorced colleague who had told me that she did not even want to hear about reconciling with her husband and who had accepted the books out of politeness because I had bothered to bring them to her also surprised me. We were sitting facing each other in the staff’s room and she exclaimed: “it’s crazy how these books you gave me are filled with conditions to respect!” We talked for a good half hour and I realized that not only did she read the books, but that she now wanted her family to be restored. Praise the Lord!
I was just sooo relieved and happy Tara!
Thank so much for your offer to compensate my work after being a volunteer. It just the first time I properly paid my tithe and all those blessings are happening to me. I believe this is the fulfillment of God’s promise:
“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Mal. 3: 10.
Stay blessed,
