โ Today's Promise: โYou have heard that it was said, โLove your neighbor and hate your enemy.โ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." Matthew 5:43-45

Hello Brides ๐ ๐
Today I want to share a praise with you about one of THE most important principles taught to us in this ministry and that is GIVING, and not in a sense of blessing someone because the Lord has led you to do so but in scenario's where someone wants to TAKE from you and is always asking, also in situations where it does not seem FAIR.
My Husband (I'm speaking about my Heavenly Husband when I say Husband) has been speaking to me about it a lot because these situations are coming up a lot, where I am left in situations where I need to give up something.
Let me give a really good example that involved my son. Today he came home and told me he needs to give a R10 to his friend. I kept on asking him WHY? He started crying so I told him when he is ready to come and tell me the true story I will be waiting to listen. He said it is for a lollipop he asked his friend to buy for him at the school tuckshop. I got upset and I told him his friend is not being fair because a lollipop hardly costs R10... It costs R2 at the school tuckshop!
But then my Husband reminded me of the scripture:
"And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you." Matthew 5:40-42
It says "give to the one who asks you". So I gave him the R10 to give to his friend and spoke to him about this scripture that says when somebody asks us to give. I also spoke to him about sharing and told him to give to his friend and that when he goes to the tuckshop to go buy his friend a lollipop without asking for anything in return.
I am grateful for the opportunity to teach my son this very important principle \o/
My Husband also spoke so clearly to me telling me that HE gives me the ability to have when people ask or sometimes even when they don't ask but just assume or they don't think to check with me 1st...
Everything I have HE has blessed me with
"But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today." Deuteronomy 8:18
If people see that I have, it is because He has given it to me, a lot of the time I find myself grumbling and complaining to Him. Because of what I know and have learned here, I have not spoken out the words that I'm thinking when I feel like something is being taken away from me. I have said nothing but my Husband knows what I feel in my heart.
So this praise is written out of a really grateful heart for not letting me forget so many lessons I have read about this topic and there are many and that my Husband told me so very, very clearly that what I have HE has given to me so why not give?
I really am so grateful to Him for speaking to my heart after all the grumbling and complaining in my heart because really HE KNEW what I was feeling in my heart even though I never said it in words.
Brides I do believe that many of you are finding yourselves in these situations in your day to day lives.. Just remember the more you give the more you receive, pressed down, shaken together and running over!!
If like me you grumble and complain a lot then go speak to your Husband about it. I kind of felt ashamed but look how gently He showed me through what I shared with you about our son.
Our Husband is the greatest, most kindest, my lovingest. We need to take everything to Him in our daily lives, speak to Him about everything so that He can speak His truth into our hearts and then we will reap His truth and blessings!
"And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you." Matthew 5:40-42
Love for Enemies
โYou have heard that it was said, โLove your neighbor and hate your enemy.โ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." Matthew 5:43-45
Reading on God's word takes it a step further speaking about praying for our enemies. It's never easy but when we speak to Him about it HE gives us the ability!!
