My Husband, my maker, taught me years ago how to follow Him in some pretty crazy ways (like sitting in a train station waiting until He told me to get on the train without knowing where it was going!!!). In addition to this, I believe in the IMPOSSIBLE—as a matter of fact, the more IMPOSSIBLE, the more I believe. Yes, even as old as I am, I still have faith like a child.
What I am believing God for this time is something He put in my heart many years ago, soon after I had A Wise Woman published. It was to have the book available in Japanese because I have FAMILY who are Japanese and who I love DEARLY!!
My dear niece, Erica, is who my Husband used (when all along I thought it would be her mother), and she began translating A Wise Woman into Japanese!! When I first saw the cover, I wept like a baby 😭 it was like I was in some sort of a dream.
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, ever imagine, dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.” E320
And now, and NOW, after my niece has been gone from translating for us, due to a mountain of trials (and NO WONDER because this country, these people, so precious to me and to my Husband is one of the hardest as far as sharing any hint of being a believer!!) For the past few weekends, we’ve talked on the phone for 5 hours, 3 hours and another 3 hours just catching up. Then over the course of talking and my sister’s desire to want RMI to “hire” her, which I explained we don’t have employees and I work with only those who speak more than ONE language (that I personally don’t qualify to work for RMI hahaha, no joke but true), my Husband showed me something incredible and as a result, so much ministering has begun—primarily just working a field that is desolate and uninhabitable—a literal ghost town. Yet, I BELIEVE. He’s already drawn my nieces to Himself and transformed them! He restored my relationship with my little sister and has provided the opportunity for me to minister to her during a difficult time she was just made aware of—so why doubt anything that HE can and will do?!?!?
Knowing our fields are beyond scarce, I asked Him what in heaven’s name we could use to feed them. A country with Buddhism accounting for 66.7% and Christianity a mere 1.5%
But I want to harvest Brides, not another group wanting a religion. How many of you are with me?!?!
So my Husband showed me that even though we couldn’t even use our Psalms and Proverbs (our go-to for any Ministry Franchise who doesn’t have a shepherd/minister, but has just a missionary who doesn’t speak the language), my niece lovingly tried to explain that women in Japan would reject anything “Bible” sooooo
Instead, my Husband said to simply extract (copy and paste) PROVERBS with no link to a Bible website.
So here it is, for you to enjoy and also so you can AGREE with me for the impossible!!
