Seeking the Salvation of a Loved One

Hello Brides, I want to praise my Heavenly Husband for working in my life and in the life of my family. I am still in my home country and I am amazed to see what He is doing in the life of my older brother.

I've been praying for my family for many years, but when I looked at my oldest brother's life I confess that I often became discouraged and wondered what God would do to call him back.

I don't know if you have read Salvation Stories, but "My brother is dying" always speak to my heart, not because my brother is sick, but because the author's brother was won without a word. So every time I read the story, my heart fills with hope and faith that soon my brother will return to Him.

Before I came to visit my parents, in one of our many video calls, my brother said he had something that he need my help with. I had no idea what he needed help with but I said that I would help if I could.

He said that he had questions about the Bible and began to ask so many things. To tell you the truth I was not expecting it, from all the things that I could imagine, asking about the Word of God was not one of them. Immediately I rejoiced, asked Him to calm my heart, and asked the Holy Spirit to help me to reply.

We spent one hour or even more talking about the Bible, His promises, the plan for salvation, and it was amazing, my brother listened, asked and as He was leading me I was answering.

My brother didn't return to the Lord after it, but that was a victory to me, to know that He was drawing my brother this way. In reality, my brother wanted to find faults in the Bible, mistakes on it, that could prove that it was not real, but he didn't find it. The only thing he found is that he needs to search more, so he can contest it.

But the Lord had shown me 2 years ago a testimony of a man who did that, and in the end, he was saved. He is amazing and didn't stop there. When I came for my vacation, under the Christmas tree, my brother left a present for me. When I opened was a book, written by a Christian man where he talks about the Bible and the historical and archeological specs of it. It is a great book, for those who are seeking answers, and the most interesting part of it is that my brother asked me if WE could read it together.

When I went to visit my brother, he asked me to bring the book so we could read together and study it. It was such a good time we spent together, and I believe that the Lord will finish what He began in my brother's life, and soon I will see Him restored to his Heavenly Father.

Ladies, do not lose hope if you are seeking the salvation of a loved one. Continue to ask Him, continue to spend time with the Lover of our souls, it is often through our kind and gentle spirit, that shines His light that many are drawn to Him, by His love in our lives.

"but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15
