Waiting! Uff! Annoying right?

That is what most of us used to think when we hear the word "wait". Because in our days we are built to do everything now. We want our food fast, we don´t want to watch commercials so we pay for a platform without them. We want that our messages to get read and answered quickly, we live in the "now era".

But what does our Beloved think about that?
We get tired quickly, we want our lives to be happy and full of joy all the time, why should we wait, right?
Today The Lord wants to teach the value and the blessing of waiting, but not on anything, but on Him!

Erin shares in this chapter the blessings of waiting: "Have you missed this gift from Him and wiggled or complained your way out of training for your superpower of waiting?

Maybe you're wondering how I know waiting really is a true superpower. Easy, let's look at what God says. The one I use the most is, and most believers know by heart is, "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they will rise up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31.

When you read that promise, did you remember to pay attention to the transition words "like" and "but" and "yet"? This means God is comparing something that came before that thought. Here's what comes before the promise of renewing your strength by waiting, "The Lord gives strength to those who are weary." "Even young people get tired, then stumble and fall...butyet, the people who wait—they're the ones who soar like eagles, don't get weary, don't faint."

Let´s renew our minds and understand that our lives are a constant journey and waiting on our Beloved makes everything worth it!

Let´s share this first with our youth and share what you thought about it! I will share another part of this chapter next week, so we can write our comments and learn together!! 🤩

  1. Thank you for sharing dear Isabella, I am in a waiting period in my life and I did start feeling that time is running out, because we need to get a house to live in, but today when I read your post I was reminded why my Darling is letting me wait now:
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they will rise up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31. I just love my Darling!!!

    1. Yes, my sweet Janine, there is so much hope and love in the wait! He will open the door when it is time! In our waiting seasons our miracles happen big time! 🧡

  2. “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they will rise up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31.
This is one of my favorite verses.

Thank you for sharing this chapter Isabella, waiting is not easy, and getting to a place where we can wait on the Lord and enjoy the waiting season, must be a Superpower!!

I have learned so much about waiting during my journey and I do want to share these lessons on waiting as well:

    1. That chapter on Poverty Mentality is one of my favorites! It has helped me a lot especially when I don´t understand why should I wait. There is a purpose for our waiting and be must be joyful and enjoy the wait, because it will indeed bring a huge blessing!

  3. Thank you, I loved reading this. It really just confirms something for me as well. I was looking at some history and something very interesting. There were roughly 400 hundred years between Malachi and John the Baptist. During that period, there were no new prophets or revelations. The wait for the promise to be fulfilled. What I read together with this chapter, really showed me that we need to be content and enjoy the wait with Him. Thank you so much for sharing. It blessed me today.

It reminds me of a verse I got when I was in a waiting period. This verse is in English, but what I got was in my Afrikaans bible. “Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.” Ps37:3

In my Afrikaans bible the last part translated to “live and work in peace” and that was the message I got from Him. While I wait, He wants me to live and work in peace.

    1. Beautiful! He wants us to have peace and to trust in Him. Sometimes for amazing things to happen, we need to sit and wait. If we rush or push things, they usually go wrong.
He gave me today the parable on the seed, we are sowing but we must trust Him to see the fruits!
      Thank you for sharing!
