Looking back to where I was in 2017, I can´t believe how my life has changed!! And change for good!!
You´ll see, I was raised by a feminist!! My mom was an excellent provider, a professional, a very gorgeous woman, always looking perfect, and well educated, but she wasn´t a very good mom! She always tried to be there for me, but because we have the same personality traits, we couldn´t get along!!
I was very rebellious because I wanted a stay-at-home mom who knew how to cook and could be my mom! Not my friend, but a mom like my classmates had! I remember having the most perfect school projects, but my lunches were awful!
Because my mom was raised by another feminist, my grandmother, they didn´t submit to anyone and did things the way they wanted, so in my family there are a lot of broken homes with perfect divorce professionals!
Since my teen years, I knew I didn´t want to repeat that pattern, but because of the way I was raised, I always thought that children were a burden! Little did I know back then that the Lord was going to change my life around to become a stay-at-home mom of four!
What changed my life to break free from the divorce pattern in my family was, well, the destruction of my marriage! Hahaha, It kind of doesn´t make any sense, but it is the truth. When I, as a foolish woman, destroyed my marriage by following the world´s lead, the Lord brought me to this ministry and to the Wise Woman Course! I mean, it was a complete shock for me to understand that the way I was raised was far from what the Lord wanted for me!
But looking back, it all worked out for good, not only for me but for my family and the HomeGrown Ministry! The way I went through all those weird trials while growing up and breaking free from feminism prepared me to be able to minister to young people, especially teens, who need to know how wonderfully they were made and how the Lord wants them to be!
There is a purpose for each trial, and it is a huge testimony for those that come behind! Not only that, but we have the opportunity to share what we learned by holding Our Beloved hands to encourage others!
My sweet ladies, the Lord is calling us to prepare the next generation! To be that Wise Woman that our youth need! To stand in the gap and show them the Abundant Life He offers to all of us!

Oh Isabella!! I can only imagine as a young girl growing up you probably just wanted your mom to be there for you in a motherly nurturing way and the way we nurture our children is physically. Giving hugs, cooking nice meals, looking at them with love, listening, being patient with our kids, understanding and most of all teaching them the Godly principles we are being taught.
Its funny because l had a conversation with my eh last night about femism and how women demand the same as men. I told eh I’m happy to be a women and there’s more benefits to being the weaker vessel instead of taking on all the burdens of a man…. I did that too took on all the burdens meant for him because l thot l knew it all and l could d fix it.. Yes, my dear. We need to become the women the Lord wants us to be! We now have a lot of broken people because there mom was not there. We need to be our children mom not their friend!
So well written! Thank you for sharing. I too have a similar story in regards to my own mother’s love. God also changed my story around and I’m staying home with three. I am thankful for all the encouragement that this ministry provides. We are the older generation teaching and training the next generation. This is no easy task, but our Husband will equip us and love us along the way. Again thank you for sharing may we all be able to experience the abundant life! 🩷
