Take my eyes off the bad things!

"Trust in theΒ Lord with all your heart . And do not lean on your own understanding." P35

In the last few days I was keeping my eyes on the difficulties and the bad things that were happening! And it's so easy to get lost in my own mind and thoughts of what didn't t happen yet, the things I am still waiting for them to happen and I forgot to be thankful for everything that had already happened!

My Husband reminded me about having a heart of praise and thankfulness and how it would bring back joy and take my eyes off the "bad" things! Because I know how able He is to bring the good from the bad things!! πŸ™Œ

He kept on reminding me of all the good things that happen and that I didn't give Him the praise I should have done: my son travelled abroad and had a wonderful experience with his martial art team! My daughter finished her high school and was accepted to a very nice University! Her dad asked her to work with him and even though she was a little bit afraid of not suceeding she is showing so many responsabilities and a wonderful way of handle with this new life she is experiencing! And also she is learning a lot and the most important thing is that she is obedient to her dad and of course, her Heavenly father is blessing her in so many ways! πŸ’ž

We are sooo grateful! And I have even more to share, I have a new stove and an electricΒ Β pressure cooker that was an old dream and desire of my heart that my Darling gave me through my husband - without me telling a word!

Well and the difficulties? They are still here, I can see and face them in a daily basis, but I can also remember that they are an opportunity to draw me closer to my Beloved Husband and experience His joy and peace. I ask Him to not lean on my own understanding but thank and praise Him for His provision, His healing, His peace or whatever it may be that I am trusting or praying for.

So today I invite you, my dear friend, to also sit by His site and let Him fill in your heart with His peace, joy and love!

  1. Dear Paula, I love reading your praiseπŸ₯³. My heart rejoices in the fact that despite the circumstances, you praise your Heavenly Husband for the difficult situations. It has greatly encouraged and confirmed me to do even more of what I have recently learned, in response to difficult circumstances. Even though the year was a challenge, my son will still move on to his final exam year. And my daughter has now found work that also allows her to complete the education she had really wanted to do. Yes, despite difficult situations still being present, I feel happy and pleased with where I am now in my life with HimπŸ’ž.

    1. Thanks for sharing Kristine❣️ And to give us the opportunity to rejoice with you and your kids! And I also have to say the same you said : I really I feel happy and pleased with where I am now in my life with HimπŸ’ž.

  2. ‭Romanos 8:28 NBLA‬

Thank you Liza! This is one of my favourite promises that I call upon so many times! Thanks for this necessary reminding today ❣️

  3. My sweet Paula, I must confess I struggle with the same! The Lord in His amazing love and patience gave me this word: β€œShe is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” Proverbs 31:25
    https://biblia.com/bible/niv/Prov%2031.25
After spending time with Him to fill my “tank”, the Lord reminded that I will have troubles but I am never alone! So I purposefully choose gratitude!
While I was living in a β€œshattered” season, I just knew my story wasn’t over.
I know my sweet Paula that you may see the scattered remains of what you are living and wonder how you will ever be made whole againβ€”this is where we must trust Our BelovedΒ΄s timing, will, way, and plan.
His plan is ALWAYS better than ours.
While we wait, letΒ΄s keep praising and trusting on His perfect plans for us!

  4. Thank you Isabella, you are such an inspiration ❣️
Let’s rejoice and keep this purpose to be grateful as a way of living! Let’s help each other to remind that YES! He has the perfect plan for our lives πŸ™Œ

  5. Thank you for sharing this beautiful praise precious Paula, my Darling Husband is also reminding me from last year to be grateful in all circumstances, a journey for me to look at the good around me and yes you are right the difficulties are still there, but yes a opportunity to draw closer to our Darling Lord. Thank you for this reminder again precious Paula, because yes only our Darling Lord can fill us with His peace, joy and love, that really surpasses all understanding.

  6. Thank you for sharing your beautiful and encouraging message. Just a few minutes before I read your post I was talking with Him, asking Him to forgive me for this morning because I was complaining and getting discouraged about concerns I should have brought to Him. It’s so easy to get caught up in the challenges, difficulties, and selfishness of life.
I’m so happy to hear about your son’s wonderful experience and your daughter’s success in finishing high school and getting accepted into a nice university. My middle son is graduating High School in a couple weeks which he has always struggled with, so this is a huge blessing! πŸ’•

    1. I agree πŸ’― with you Hope, it’s really easy to take off our eyes of Him and feel miserable, but it’s so wonderful to know that He is always there for us, isn’t it? And more than that we are always here to remember each other WHO is waiting to be gracious to us, as He just told me to share with you: ”
Therefore the Lord waits [expectantly] and longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed (happy, fortunate) are all those who long for Him [since He will never fail them]. I3018

  7. Paula thank you for sharing. How amazing that He is leading you in this way. To take your eyes off al the bad things and to be able to lean on Him only. Out of my own experience, I know how difficult it can be to not concentrate on all the bad that is happening in our lives. It sometimes overwhelms me so much that I am having trouble concentrating on anything else, but then my sweet Husband reminds me that nothing is too difficult for Him and this verse came to mind this morning as I was reading your beautiful praise:
“Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”

    1. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful promise, dear Yvonne ❣️ I will add to this one that He also reminded me this morning:
β€œSo don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
      https://biblehub.com/matthew/6-34.htm
Love you, my dear friend 🫢

  8. Dear Paula, thank you so much for the reminder! It is so easy to look at our situation and the trails we have to face on a daily basis.
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=james%201:2-4&version=NIV.
Focusing on the good and the blessings, help us to keep our eyes on Him and gives us peace and joy indescribable in the midst’s of whatever else we are facing. https://encouragingwomen.org/p10-name-them-one-by-one/.

    1. Wow Adina, thank you for the promises and also for this principle so important – it really has to be with the self-pity I was experiencing ! Thank you so much for sharing ❣️

  9. β€œAnd he was in the stern, sleeping on a bolster; and they woke him up, and said to him, Master, are you not careful that we perish? And rising up, he rebuked the wind, and said to the sea: Be still, be still. And the wind ceased, and a great calm. And he said to them: Why are you so afraid? How do you not have faith? Then they feared with great fear, and said to each other, Who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

Paula, I also find myself fixated on bad things, as I have shared that I have been a perfectionist in healing. It is very easy for me to focus on the bad and feel unhappy because of a single bad thing that happens, but like you, what He has taught me is to trust Him in the midst of the storm and fix my eyes on Him who makes it possible. the impossible, in Him we have hope regardless of our situation.

    1. Thanks for sharing this beautiful promise and remind us of fixing our eyes in the Right Place – the Only One that really matters ❣️ The Love of our lives!
      Thnak you, my dear 🫢

  10. Thank you dear Paula for sharing this praise, and reminding us to put our eyes on our Beloved and not on the circumstances around us.
β€œI lift my eyes to the mountains and ask: Where does my help come from?” Making the decision, as the Psalmist did, to trust in the Lord as our only help, is the best decision of our lives. The choice to believe and rest in God and his promises is what will make the difference in the turning point of our lives.

  11. Thank you darling Paula πŸ€— you have encouraged me today about praising πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ in all circumstances and not to lean on my own understanding thats so important too when we try to make sense of things instead of letting the bad things go and just praise Him for it and thank Him that HE is working it out for GOOD πŸ™Œβ€οΈ

  12. Wow how perfectly timed!! Thank you Father for this praise report and using her to show your glory and showing us! Reminding us of your provision, and how praise unleashes blessings and peace! Thank you!!
