He Needed to Humble Me

โ˜Š PRAISE from Poppy

Dear Brides,

I am still in awe of how the Lord takes care of us in a way that no one else does it. My heart is full of joy because I have seen how He is restoring my mom's life through the lessons He gives me.

After being able to travel abroad for more than 13 years to purchase all my outfits for work, this now belongs to my past because with my financial crisis I was not even able to go to any store to buy anything at all.

Since I read the books Finding the Abundant Life and Poverty Mentality, the Lord showed me that I needed to understand what was important and precious in my life. Shopping was not it and please do not get me wrong, the Lord wants to treat us like Princesses and He will always provide more than we expect, however at that time, He needed to humble me and show me that I have to always trust Him for everything.

As I have shared in previous PR (praise report), the years have passed and I am moving the peak mountain of debts. My Beloved has been faithful and I am getting free from some of all our huge list of debts little by little.

As one of the teachings we learn in RMI courses, there is no reason for not having nice clothes and being presentable even if we do not have enough money. We can pray, ask to our Beloved and wait. In my country there are many stores that sell second-hand clothes that come from USA. The fabrics are high quality and most of the ones I like are the same I used to buy brand new.

Contrary to most women in my country, I love to wear dresses, I like how I look and it really makes me enjoy being a woman. I prayed some time ago to the Lord that I wanted to wear dresses again even if I work at home and it would be amazing if he could make it happen. If I recall, I prayed for it about 8 months ago and I praise the Lord because due to His love, the day has come.

Yesterday, when I was on my way to my mom's house the Lord lead me to take a different route and a store took my attention. I came back with my mom and asked her if we could stop there to see what I could find. After having like 10 minutes checking blouses and not finding anything I liked, I saw a sign saying: "Dresses take 2, pay 1" and that is not all, the price was $5 each. I could not believe it, 2 dresses for $5, I was in awe because a brand new dress in my country costs around $50. However, the most unbelievable of the situation is that I found a good quantity of them to try on and they fit perfectly, it was like my Beloved had them waiting for me. I was jumping with joy to see how He was paying attention to my prayer, how He lead me to the store, and how He showed me what has been a desire of my heart. I could not stop praising Him in front of my mom so she could witness right there all His power.

So my dear brides trust the Lord with all your heart, don't be discouraged if you don't have an answer right away. He knows you and He knows what is best. Just continue the race, never give up, you will be surprised to experience His love.

โ€œYet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.โ€ Acts 14:17

โ€œThis is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.ย  And if we know that he hears usโ€”whatever we askโ€”we know that we have what we asked of him.โ€ 1 John 5:14-15
