Payday

On the phone, my cousin asked me if I wanted to the store to get a few things and I said “Let’s do it Friday, when I get paid” When we hung up, The Lord brought to my attention “Hope, you have no doubt that the paycheck will be there on Friday, you need that kind of faith that I will provide, no doubting.”

He has been working with me and my poverty mentality, https://loveatlast.org/fc/poverty-mentality/ having me test him with tithing and one month with NOT tithing, only giving an offering. Wow what a difference and how draining that was to not tithe!!

We should have faith in the Lord as much as we do in our paychecks. We expect to receive our paychecks on a certain day of the month and don’t usually question it, we just know it will be there. If we can put that much faith in mere humans to provide it and send it, then why don’t we put more faith in the Lord, our Provider, our Husband, to provide for us? Why do we question, will He help me? We should expect that He will provide for us, just like we expect our paychecks to be on time, because He does not lie.

“For the LORD your God has blessed you in all that you have done; He has known your wanderings through this great wilderness. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you; you have not lacked a thing.” De2:7

If I think about it, I really have not lacked much in my 43 years of life. He has ALWAYS taken care of me, even while I was away from Him at times.

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.” Ps150:6

Thank You, My Beloved πŸ’•

    1. Amen! That is a beautiful truth. Our Beloved is always with us, and His word is always true. We can trust Him completely.

  1. Dear Hope,

thank you for sharing this wisdom. It is indeed true that we know well when we will be paid. However, we forget who that actually comes from. The Bible teaches us that the earth belongs to God and everything that is and lives on it. He gives us the power to create wealth. We can confidently place our faith and trust in the promises that He will take care of us. And will provide everything we need.
After I began giving faithfully from my tithes, He has so lovingly shown Himself to be an abundant Giver. He has taken away my worries. After reading the book “Poverty Mentality” I certainly agree with you that it will set you free from any financial worries and it will grow your faith. I shall praise with you the Lord because we have no lack of nothing.

    1. Yes Kristine. He is the one who provides for us, and we can trust Him to take care of us. When we give faithfully, He shows Himself to be an abundant Giver. I’m so grateful for the knowledge of tithing.

  2. Thank you Hope for sharing what your HH showed you! And it is a eye-opener, if we can trust our employer to pay us on paypay, how much more can we trust our HH to provide for us. And our HH has endless resources and want to provide, we just need to ask and trust.

    1. Hi Adina. Yes, He is our HH, and He loves us more than we can ever imagine. You’re right He has endless resources, and He wants to provide for us. πŸ’•

  3. Thank you Hope!!! It was a great revelation – to compare the trust we have in the paychecks! I sense that it could help women in doubt about tithing and trusting in the One who will “meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” F419 ❀️‍πŸ”₯

    1. Yes Paula, I hope it does help others. He’s been having me to hold on to Him and trust this past year. I think it’s important to remember that He is always faithful to provide for us, even when we don’t understand why things are happening the way they are. When we tithe, we are trusting Him to meet our needs and to use our resources for His kingdom.

  4. Thank you for sharing dear hope, yes it is draining not to tithe, I remember not doing it for years and there is really a difference, because the moment I tithed I just felt relaxed that my Darling will open the windows of heaven for me. What a beautiful comparison that we should have faith in the Lord like we have paychecks, yes and we really do just expect our paychecks to be there a certain date.

    1. It’s a relief to know that if I put my trust in my Beloved that He will take care of me. I just need to hold on to Him and that truth.πŸ’•
