PS123 “prosper, and all you do”

This morning I was excited to see so much encouragement in our PS 123 telegram group, and at the end my husband suggested I post it as a praise! This is what it said…

Good morning! I was able to follow what Erin said. I purchased the Alexadar Scourby app from https://encouragingwomen.org/ps123/ and on December 1st the shortcut popped up that she showed us how to do. And guess what? I found myself not wanting to stop. I loved beginning in the New Testament because as Erin said, you get hooked. I ended up getting to Matthew 21. I just didn't want to get to the sad part so I saved there for the next day.

Each day I just spend as much time as I want. No timers and no just coming to read five minutes that would take me entire year!

What a surprise that reading through the Bible is not what I’ve been led to believe, but simply a GOOD book… No the BEST book 📖 that you simply don’t want to put down, but just keep reading and listening along to. So far for the last four days, I have eaten my evening meal late just because I don’t don’t want to stop.
Now, for my confession and boasting about my weaknesses. A few times when I was thinking about PS 123 I was concerned I needed to do more when I only had a few minutes. This is when it slips into religion so I asked my husband, my maker to help me and so far he has wonderfully helped me shake off that Pharisee attitude. 💝”

Isn’t that exciting? I hope you’ll think about joining us and preparing for the new year so 2023 will be your best and most prosperous year ever.

PS123 “PROSPER in all YOU do!”

Can the rest of you share your experiences after listening to Erin?

What’s happening here we should really take a moment to post our praise.

  1. Thank you for sharing this beautiful testimony. The Bible always seemed like this big, boring, daunting book that you have to labour through, but when I met Him, it was like suddenly I could not get enough.

Reading the bible is so enjoyable for me and the children because we start our school day with Him. We started in the New Testament because I was worried that they would be bored by the old Testament. Wow, was I ever so wrong? We are going through the old Testament and they love it! I was also a bit worried about all the bloodshed in the old testament, but I was so surprised to see that things that I as an adult thought over and had to puzzle out with Him, the children just take for granted. They just seem to grasp it and understand it in a way that really humbles me.

I use to read the bible alone and the children would just read the stories in their children’s bible, but He showed me the New Living Translation which is so easy for the children to read that they are enjoying every moment with me. Reading His word as a family is really blessing us in so many ways!

I praise my Heavenly Husband for giving me the opportunity. I am not sure if we would have been able to do this if I was not Homeschooling my children. He knows us so well!

  2. Yvonne, thank you so much for sharing this with everyone. I hope the mothers who don’t have a father in the home begin this beautiful “family tradition.” What amazes me is how even Tara who was so young and sitting on the floor, doing puzzles, while listening, that it created a hunger and desire and desperation, to always be going through the Bible, using the app, doing it on her own as an adult!

Children are addicted to so many things, and just a day ago I mentioned to my son about a relative who is taking medication for ADD. Baffled and thinking that couldn’t be right my son, Easton, explain that this is due to the addiction of social media. Then he told me that fasting social media for a month or two would be a instant cure. Wow a wise man. Ha ha ha

Yeah, it was true, and it was a confirmation, because I was having trouble focusing on one thing and skipping from one thing to another. I too had become addicted to the fun quick changing videos, and Instagram and on Facebook. Now, as I mentioned, I have let go of that and instead, I am happily focused on God’s word, and listening to an incredible orator.

My husband also reminded me of when this dreaded “disease” began springing up with young children. It was the introduction of Sesame Street, when before that it was Mr. Rogers. Mr. Rogers is slow and entirely focused on one simple principle he wants to teach the children. In comparison, Sesame Street is highly stimulating, and my friend from one thing to another into another. I’m speaking now as a mother of seven, and now grandmother to 10.
What better way to lead our children along the narrow path towards the narrow gate, and to instill into their hearts and souls, and love and passion for God’s word? Knowing too that it’s not college or anything else that’s going to help them to be prosperous and what they do. It’s leaving them an inheritance “prosper in ALL [he didn’t say “some”] you do” what better guarantee do we need? Someone who we know is faithful and will keep his promise 💗💗💗

  3. Hello brides,
Thank you all for being the encouraging women that our Heavenly Husband ask us to be. I just would like to give a Praise from the moment over what Erin showed us last week. How she install her phone to get back in reading the bible again. First of all I was very grateful for the voice message because I have been struggling for a while to have my focus first thing in the morning for Him who loves me so much. I am a slow starter in the morning and found out that when I finally woke up I had done quite a few other things before I started reading His Words of Love. At one moment i felt very guilty about that and good be a little anger that i could not managed to started my day with HIM. And only because I have the ability to open all kinds of social media apps available on my phone. Now that Erin has shown us how to use the focus setting, it immediately appealed to me to start planning some structure and intimate time with Him in the morning. And do you know what dear brides i am so gratefull because He gave me the desires of my heart, it works. It’s been 7 days now that I don’t read all kinds of emails, youtube videos and other social media or news messages in the morning before I’ve had my coffee with Him and read my daily Devotion. And only because all those apps are blocked. The only app that i can opens between six and 9 in the morning is the bible app. It’s amazing how better and happier and different your day goes when you connect yourself to Him first and then do whatever else is on the agenda. Last night I was a bit tired after coming from work but as I made 3×5 cards that morning and started reading them again I felt the tiredness go away and I had that happy feeling that I had in the morning before i went to work. I can share more blessings with you since holding this focus, but I will do so in another praise report. I would like to encourage all of you if you haven’t already done what Erin shared with us. Please do. It will bring you so many benefits and bring you even closer to your Heavenly Husband. Delight yourself in Him and He will give you the desires of your heart. 💕🎁

Thank you Yvonne for your encouraging. I have three boys under the aged of 15 and becaus there is a children version on the online bible app that i used i can start using that with them. I feel so encouraged right know . Can not wait to use that with them🥰.

  4. How wonderful Kristine hearing everything and how perfectly, he’s taking care of you as the beautiful bride you are to him.
While, you were led by your husband to feast on his word in the morning, he led me to let go of social media videos, and enjoy it in the afternoon before my evening meal.
This is why it’s so important that we have a husband who knows us inside and out and loves us with a passion we could never understand or grasp. Thank you again for sharing!! It means the world 🌎 to me. 🤗
