Run To The Lord

Reading Facing Divorce Again - Chapter 3 I was reminded that we must run first to the Lord with everything.

Years ago when I started to notice that my earthly husband was having an affair, I ran to friends and even my mother inlaw and complained about my husband and what he did to me and today I know if I had run to the Lord first, my life would have been so different because He is the only One that could change it, but I am not at all sorry for what I have been through, because our precious Lord's mercy is so great and is now using my pain for good.

Please read this passage quoted from the lesson ook Facing Divorce-Again, Chapter 3:

PrayerΒ is just talking to God about everything you would normally tell your closest friend. If Jesus is to be first in our lives, He needs to be our very best friend, and He needs to be the One you and I run to when we need to talk and we need comfort or assurance. Jesus is always excited (even though He already knows what you are going to say) to hear from you, and He is always faithful to help you feel better. When you tell Him about a traumatic or painful thing that has just happened to youβ€”He truly will be Someone who will stick closer than a brother and comfort you more than a mother!

Precious dearest bride don't make the mistake I made and pour your heart out to your friends or even your mother-in-law. Spend enough time with our precious Lord and if you are very busy, make sure you fit the Lord into your busy schedule, because it is the most important time you can ever spend and make sure you also sit still in His presence and feel His love for you.

β€œI have loved you with anΒ everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness” (Jer. 31:3).

Daily life sometimes catches up with us – and we forget to pray or talk to God. But it’s the very, most important thing. When I pray, I hear him talking to me in my head. I’m like in a trance. After that I’m very tired, but I’m fine.

    1. Yes it is the very most important thing to talk to our Darling Lord precious Anne and the best part ever is that our Darling Lord is next to us and we can talk to Him any time, any place. I sometimes forget when I am driving after picking my son up, that he is in the car and I will start talking loud to my Darling Husband whereby by son has asked me a few times who are you talking to, whereby I just smile and say oh the Lord of course.

      1. I love that you said you sometimes forget and start talking to Him out loud with your son in the car. 😁πŸ₯°

  2. Janine thank you for sharing this lesson, FDA was one of the courses that really impacted my life tremendously. Especially when you face trails. I have seen how applying the biblical princples can turn situations around for good.

I made the same mistakes you did, running and talking to anybody that would listen. Knowing what I know now, I know how wrong I was because of a lack of knowledge that I only found in the lessons after finding RMI.
But I have learned to run to my Beloved Husband first, to cry at His feet and to wait until He takes away the negative feelings and comfort me. I know I can share and surrender everything to Him, because at the end of the day, He is the only one who CAN act in our situations!

    1. I am enjoying these lessons so much precious Adina and I really want to encourage the women that haven’t read it to please read it, even if you are not going through a divorce because it can be used for any trial in our lives.
And yes precious Adina He is the only One that can really act in our situations, so why even then run to others like I did.

  3. yes! I am so grateful that I took have learned that my Beloved is my best friend, my confidant and perfect counselor. I recently even realized once I stopped referring to my EH as my best friend, I actually had so much more peace and even more respect for him than ever before. I know my Heavenly best friend is all I want now Praise Him for the revelations and wisdom he graciously pours upon us!!

  4. Exactly, run to Him as you used to run to a friend or family member. He is your best friend, go tell Him everything. πŸ’•

    1. Yes precious Hope, just today me and a friend discussed how I had preciously run to so many friends for help, that could any way do nothing to my situation and the best part is our Darling Lord is always waiting for us to pour out our hearts towards Him.
“So the LORD must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the LORD is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help.” I30:18 https://biblehub.com/isaiah/30-18.htm
