Signs of a Heart Attack; He says, โ€˜Do Nothing!โ€™

Praise my Heavenly Husband. He is the best ever. Last week, on Thursday, I started feeling weird. It is not something I can explain. I cannot tell you how it started. By Friday morning, I had a pain in my chest, more like a pressure on my chest. My arm was hurting, I was out of breath. And of course, I was panicking.

The Lord told me to keep quiet, tell no one. Do nothing!

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with high cholesterol, the doctor gave me pills. I used them for a while and stopped. So, naturally, I was afraid. The Lord said, Go on as normal, tell no one.

I was invited by friends of mine for coffee that morning, so I went. When I go to visit them, I park at the Heart Hospitalโ€™s parking because it is just across the street. So, I thought maybe I should just go in there quickly. He said no.

I started feeling even worse and that afternoon my brother came to visit, my sister-in-law was in the hospital, he invited me to come along. Another perfect opportunity. Still, He said no.

That night, I was afraid to close my eyes and go to sleep. 23:30 my FH send me a message asking if the children can stay the whole weekend. Lord, why so late, should I tell him? No, He said.

The next afternoon I started feeling even worse, the pain was getting worse and my arm and jaw were by now painful and I was feeling needles and pins. I was sure I was going to die. I wanted to look up โ€œsigns of a heart attackโ€ and He stopped me.

Here out of the blue, my FH calls me. He never calls me when the children are with him. Asked me things he could have done when dropping off the kids. Lord, should I tell him now? No.

Again, on Saturday, I was afraid to even close my eyes, but I was so tired and dizzy and in pain. So now lack of sleep and fear are taking its toll and the Lord says, Tomorrow you fast.

Sunday, I fasted. It just so happens that the PR I read on the blog that day was about fasting ? Just water, nothing else. By the afternoon, I was exhausted, in pain but fear was not part of my discomfort anymore. I was praising Him and Thanking Him and telling Him: “I am okay Lord, it would actually be great to be with You.” So, I lie down, close my eyes and feel blackness come over me from the exhaustion. The Lord then tells me to get up now! I got up.

That night I slept very well, when I woke up, the Lord gave me a wonderful Streams message and the last part of Psalm 23:4. We all know what this verse says in English, but the message came in Afrikaans and the version I received said: โ€œIn Your hands I am safeโ€

I still had all the symptoms but felt comforted by Him. So, the Lord says, Go to the doctor. Got an appointment very easily, had to go for tests. Everything went quick and smooth and the next day I received my results.

LOL, there is nothing wrong with me, even my high cholesterol is now normal!! ? So, now I ask the Lord, Was this all in my head? Were You testing me to see if I will trust You? He brought to mind that when I left the pills, I told Him, well Lord, I will trust You with my health and I left it there, but that was very long ago and I never thought of it again. He did not forget ?

So, as I am writing here, I am still in pain, I still lose my breath just doing everyday things. He reminded me in Prison to Praise and how He healed the author, but He still had the symptoms and he was saying to someone something about, the Lord healed Him, this is just the symptoms.

Going from fear to faith is not an easy step to take, but it will set you free. I am not saying that I am not afraid of anything anymore. He still has a lot to teach me, but after what happened to me this weekend, I will be a more willing student because I know that with Him nothing is impossible!!!

Matthew 9:22 (NIV)ย “Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,โ€ He said, โ€œyour faith has healed you.โ€ And the woman was healed at that moment.”

I am sure each of you has that special verse that the Lord gave you when you started your journey. This has always been mine. This is the very first verse the Lord ever gave me when I looked to Him for comfort and it will always be my favouriteย :):):)
