They Don´t Fall for Current Trends!

“Older women must encourage younger women
to love husbands and children,
to live wisely and be pure,
to work in their homes,
to do good and to be submissive to their husbands.
Then they will not bring shame on the Word of God"
—Titus 2:3-5

My sweet brides, I am far more excited to share this praise!! I love everything I have learned in this beautiful ministry, especially the importance of protecting my children from worldly influences.

As you may know, the release of a new movie is everywhere, and I must confess that I knew that the movie was filled with feminist ideas plus new inclusion ideas.

After what I learned in course 2 and on Workers at Home, since 2017 I control pretty hard what my children see on TV and they don´t have tablets or cellphones (well Bethia does own a cellphone because of her Highschool activities, but she doesn´t have a password on her phone), and my sweet ladies I have seen the fruits from it!!

My daughters are protected from a lot of worldly influences and most of the time they don´t know what their peers are talking about! I can´t be happier that Our Beloved allows us to live in a town that is very far from the city, where there aren´t any shopping malls, so they can not follow clothing trends, watch movies or other things that are destroying their innocence are slowly driving them away from the Lord!

Yesterday Bethia was telling me that last year all the teens were a character (from a very famous online series), and today they are characters (from the worldly movie mentioned above), she said: "Mom, my classmates do not have a personality. They like what is a trend, that is so dumb".

And the twins hate the doll the offensive movie is based on because she doesn´t look like mom!!

So my sweet brides, let´s put the Lord first in our children´s lives, and let´s protect our children from the enemy that only wants to destroy their lives!!

We are open letters, so our lives must reflect what we speak otherwise they won´t take us seriously! People look at our lives, our words, and our passion for the Lord, to really grasp that what we teach is what we live.

For us to change your life, you will need to do these three things in this order:

  1. Know the Word of God.
  2. Live the Word of God.
  3. Speak the Word of God.

And then we can encourage all these younger minds and direct them to our Beloved!

PLEASE COME to read the second part of the Amazing book A Wise Woman in Waiting will help you a lot!!

  1. Isabella, THANK YOU!! Thank you for sharing how GOD has used what you’ve learned as a Wise Woman and you’re encouraging your daughters to learn from your example and how you are “training them in the way they should go.”

Many of you may have noticed the prior posted praise was deleted after I realized it lacked the discretion we also want to encourage. We know that the evil in this world is everywhere but what concerns me just as much is those who discern what is good, and advertise (free of charge) to those who would never want to see the movie or the commercial or the pictures. Referencing them, but discretely will leave the audience of those who aspire to do good, to think and meditate on what’s good rather than the images either seen or described.

“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is PURE, whatever is LOVELY, whatever is of good, virtuous, if there is any EXCELLENT and if anything worthy of praise, think and dwell on these things.”

“Who can find a virtuous woman of noble character?”

Isabella, your four daughters have been “Set Apart” for good because of your commitment to excellence. https://homegrownministries.com/hp/otr/

Let’s also teach our sons (and now daughters) to turn from evil and do good, not to look upon it, to walk away, and they’ll be surprised who may follow them towards His light.

    1. My Husband led me back to leave a huge THANK YOU to Isabella for providing the opportunity to share my HEART about this. I’ve spoken to my closest friends and of course, my grown children and I are forever dismayed by the lack of discretion so easily fallen into, the ultimate scheme of the enemy.
Isabella, my darling, you must know that I thrive on making mistakes because God promises to use them for GOOD and DOUBLELY bless each blunder I make. It’s not because I’m perfect I’m so blessed but because HE IS and has set in place promises like “I’d rather boast about my weaknesses that the power will remain in me.” Living the Abundant Life is free from concern—even when fall for his (well used and effective schemes). But together we are NOT ignorant of His schemes for when one falls, there are two who will lift her up all 3 with hands and hearts praising Him.
      \o/\o/\o/ just like our logo!

  2. Thank you so much, Erin!!! The essence of the praise is there!! I really want to encourage families to take care of our younglings’ minds! The enemy has an agenda against motherhood, children and the LORD. We must seek Him to discern His will and to set apart from the worldly trends as much as possible!!
That is why I feel so blessed to be able to live in the countryside of Costa Rica!

  3. Interesting that you addressed this topic today Isabella. I was told that someone was going to treat me and my girls to go watch the movie with them yesterday but there were no tickets available. Which is sad to know it is being sold out and so many young girls are being fed with this. I was not wanting to go see it and was not sure if it’s content or message for my girls. We are not a fan of the whole theme anyway. I have also been paying more attention to what my kids watch and listen to. There doesn’t seem to be much out there that lines up with the Truth, or what I teach my children, that we need to live the lives He meant for us or be the people He meant for us to be. Especially and specifically for us women. That’s why I am so thankful for this ministry, it is where I first heard about the Truth. Thank you for bringing this up. It’s very encouraging to know when there are other mothers who feel the same.

    1. Amazing how your children’s Father protected them Ruby. Agreed SOLD OUT is the ideal metaphor—parents are ignorant to how they are selling out their children to the enemy and ways of the world.
I’m not sure if the movie’s referenced are animated but my Husband reminded me when I worked for a Hanna Barbera cartoonist when I was in high school. Most of his innocent cartoon pitches were never made because even back then in the late 1970s there was a well known agenda to introduce characters and themes that God says are immoral.
A far cry 😢 from when my father was a cartoonist with Disney in the late 1930s when Walt was alive who wanted to give his daughters wholesome family entertainment. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

      1. My thoughts exactly Erin, that their Father protected them 💕 To add an update, it gets better, this relative was planning on trying again to take them on another day. She asked my girls if they wanted to go watch it. You could imagine my thoughts and words to my Husband as she asked them because now she was going to tell them and get them excited to go. They said no they didn’t want to watch that!! I’m always so concerned on the influence that the world has on my kids but to know that My Beloved has them under His complete protection is amazing and He revealed the condition of their heart 💖

Wow! Interesting that your father was a cartoonist with Disney!! I miss the old Disney after Walt it all started to change so much. I agree, I’ve noticed a lot of cartoons are used as a disguise to pitch hidden political and immoral agendas. We need to be aware of the schemes of the enemy.

  4. Dear Isabella,

What a wise post you have shared. I have to say that i went to watch this movie with my older daughters, totally unaware of all this -for some reason it did not really seem inappropriate when one of my older daughters (19) suggested seeing it to “observe” its position regarding the issue, and we profited of the cheap tickets on the “audience´s day” to go see it.

Well, i truly bless the Lord because nothing that was said, shown, explained, depicted in that movie made sense to us. Actually, all the positions the story takes as it evolves are more and more ridiculous, one can easily see that this is a society led by the enemy´s agenda to distort women and men´s roles. It depicts a bunch of unhappy and influenceable beings, adrift from one extreme to another, because they need to prove themselves “good”, “acceptable”, “better”, “enough”, “useful”, “justified”… and in the process they start harming one another and missing the whole point, which is to live together as companions and not as rivals.

The film seems to be regarded as “eye-opening” among young women now. But it leads nowhere, there is no light coming from its conclusion, it´s even more confusing how it ends…. and sadly this confusion is what is being fed to young men and women.

If anything, this movie perfectly proves why we do need God to be present in our lives. This was our conclusion.

I do not encourage anyone to see it -specially not with young girls- because there is no absolute need to watch this movie to add wisdom and/or discern God´s ways -and even less to contribute to its financing- but since we ended up seeing it, i do thank my HH to have given me and my girls the discernment to make us more conscious of how blessed we are to have Him.

Nothing in this crazy and fallen world makes sense without Him.

    1. Wow my sweet Mira, thank you so much for all that you shared!! That is exactly what I feel about it! The enemy wants to destroy our God-given roles and divide our families. It breaks my heart to see this really young girls dressed like this character and wanting to be like them!
The world is teaching our children to set their goals on money, looks, and traveling!! But we know that our Beloved wants to share what really will give joy and happiness. We must set our standards on His Word only! 🤗💟
