wLL: “Sleeping in the Storms” – RF Lesson

"And behold, a violent storm developed on the sea, so that the boat was being covered by the waves; but Jesus Himself was asleep." M8:24

Our Living Lesson for today's RF Fellowship is wLL 21 “Sleeping in the Storms”

This lesson is a reminder that as His brides we can sleep peacefully in our Heavenly Husband's arms while the storm is raging around us.

What really struck me about this lesson is the following part where the author said: "Traveling along our own restoration journey, though we often prefer to stay put, especially when where we are is finally comfortable and calm, the last thing we want to do is to move to the other side of the comfort we have begun to enjoy. Yet, may I say dear bride that what He has ahead for you and me is always going to be better than what He’s asking us to leave behind."

It resonated with me because for more than a year I was sheltered from any storms, I was in a place of peace and rest with my HH, then this year, He made a way for me to move back to where I lost my life, the life I tried to cling on to desperately. A place full of bad memories, but I trusted Him and that this was part of His plan after I lost custody of my children. Now I see them every day and next year I will be homeschooling my children! I had to take that leap of faith, trusting my HH that He wants to take me higher and that me moving back to a town I did not want to be living in again, is part of Him taking me into new and great blessings I cannot comprehend!

But in crossing over to what our HH has for us on the other side, we might endure some storms, but we can rest assured that He is with us during the storms and we can sleep safely in HIS arms!

  1. For some reason it reminds me of the verse “Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” Romans 17-18.
Our beloved is not moved by any circumstances because He is in ULTIMATE control. As His brides, we ought not to be afraid because He is with us. “For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13
Brides, you are in good hands! Never ever doubt His greatness and goodness. He alone is our refuge!

  2. This is an excellent lesson when we are going through a season of trials! We need to put our eyes on Him and just rest. Worrying is like a rocking chair it gives you something to do, but it doens´t get you anywhere! But in Him our lives has a purpose and a meaning!

  3. Thank you for sharing dear Adina, I needed to read this today, because it felt I was sheltered from any storms for a while and now it feels I am moving through storms to get to the other side that my Darling has for me, but I know I too will come with a testimony and that I can rest in Him while in the storm.
