His Problem Not Mine:):):)

โ™• Today's Promise: โ€œArise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.โ€ Isaiah 60:1

Dear Brides, this Chapterย 2 "What Do You Believe?" like the previous one has opened my eyes. The first chapter was like a bucket of cold water on my head waking me up and then from this chapter, you can start Living the Lessons and see the fruits of it.

While I was reading the first chapter of the Poverty Mentality and then going over to this chapter I asked the Lord to help me. Especially in what I am saying when it comes to Him providing for me.

Luke 22:35 Then Jesus asked them, โ€˜When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?โ€™ โ€˜Nothing,โ€™ they answered.

I have read this verse so many time, but having it in this context just gave it a new meaning to me:)

To be very honest, it is just so easy when we go into the store and my children see something that they want to tell them I cannot afford it. If I say anything else the explanation is just too long. Is that not lazy parenting?

As soon as I realized this, I took it to the Lord and told my Heavenly Husband but sometimes I just don't have the money at that moment to buy it for them and sometimes I do have the money, I don't think they need it, because I know they will play with it for a day and discard it. So please lead me and fix this:)

What He showed me was actually something so very simple I just started to laugh. Here in South Africa, we have a similar online service like amazon and if I am looking for something or I am comparing prices I always go in there. I would also sometimes see something that I like and I would place it in my wishlist and talk to Him about it. When I go through my wishlist I would say, Lord, I don't really need this anymore, it was nice at the time but I can't really use it and other times He would give me the money to buy what is needed.

He showed me an easy way to take this to the children. When they see something they want, I would just tell them, not now. When you say your prayers, talk to the Lord and ask Him for it and then if He wants you to have it, He will make a way.

This way, I teach them to start asking Him for things and also, I make it His problem not mine:):):)

That worked out perfectly for us. In the beginning, it was a bit difficult because we live in a world of instant gratification. I had to keep sending them to the Lord.

One day, I went to the store to buy groceries and something caught my eye and I thought the kids would like this and I asked Him if I should buy it and He said yes, so I bought it and when they came home from school and I gave it to them. My boy said he saw it and He asked the Lord if He can have it. I did not even know that my boy wanted it because he stopped asking me:)

Isn't our Heavenly Husband so amazing???

My dear Heavenly Husband, thank You so much for teaching me to renew my mind and heart with everything. It is such a wonderful journey with you. I also really need to thank You for laying this book on the Authors' heart because it is life-changing! It is easy to read that You will supply all my needs but I need You to help me believe it. And looking back there are so many things that You have shown me that proves that Your word is so true. Thank You for teaching my children as well. I love You so very much!!!

Dear Brides, just by beginning to change what you say and how you think of things, you will already see a change. Just renewing your heart and mind and to know that He will give you what you need and also what you want:)

Whenever I give any of this ministry's books to someone it always comes with a message that when you read this book, you will need to read it more than once and change the way you are thinking. You need to be radical to live these books and you can look at your bible every time and you will find it in there. Poverty Mentality is one of the books that is really in my top 3 books that everyone MUST read. Living these Promises is just another example of how the Lord turns your crisis for good. If I did not go through my marriage crisis, I would have never been able to learn all of these principles and lived in His promises!!!
