Water from a rock

“In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock; you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand to give them.” Neh 9:15

If you have not read yesterdays My Beloved devotion Jan 16th then please go and read it and make it part of your daily routine πŸ™ This morning as l sit down with my Husband reading over this scripture again l realised that HE truly did just as He told me in His word, he struck rock in my life, the difficult trials and hard places and water came gushing out.

Going without so many things.. We had almost no food left in the house, we ran out of everything, necessities like toiletpaper. Even our water the municipality lowered the pressure on our taps 😬

He told me “Be still and know that l am God” Psalm 46:10 and that He would be exalted through my trials.

Its been so hard but my Husband was there every day feeding me his daily bread, reviving me with His word. Lifting my spirits. Telling me from the promise He gave me on New Years day from His word that something would happen and l would not be able to believe it even if someone told me as l shared in my last PR… And l realised this morning that l really would not have believed it if someone had told me that He would bless me so.

Ladies l am taking the opportunity to thank and praise Him now while its happening, while l feel so overwhelmed by His blessings.

I received my first paycheck, l can tithe again and l am just so overwhelmed. I sit here so grateful because l had nothing but now we are able to close so many holes. My Husband knows my heart because l felt so bad for my eh as he was feeling stressed and l just needed a way to help but l did not want to compromise being at home.

I dont know what your trial, difficulty or situation is. What you are facing today. I too came here faced with marriage trials and l am still here more than 10 years later and still facing trials. What l can tell you is that this is where l learned so much. And the most important of all was to get stuck into Gods word and to live it out. To build an intimate relationship with my Beloved. To be thankful and grateful and to look for the blessings. To write about it on this platform and share it as a praise.

Im sharing this because l hope to encourage someone today that He is true to His word its important to meditate on His promises the most simple thing you can do πŸ˜‰πŸ™ŒπŸ’–

  1. *PRAISE ON TOP OF PRAISE*
I’m reading this post with tears streaming down my face because this encouragement was definitely for me . I logged in at 2 am to post praise about what my HH has done for me since I moved to a new place with no income or help from outside sources. There have been times when I’ve run out of everything and my HH has sent help. When I read this praise, It felt like a mirror of exactly what I’ve been going through and the scripture my love used to speak to me. Thank you for posting this!

    1. Im so glad you were encouraged l woke up early still feeling tired but so happy and l just felt that l needed to share this praise instead of going back to sleep. Now i am so glad that He led me and that you have been encouraged. Its definitely a confirmation and l cant wait to hear what HE does next πŸ˜ŠπŸ™Œ

Thank you for your post. I work in a DK. But I have to walk at least 10 minutes to catch the bus and then wait at a station of good-hearted people who have to drop me off at work because of lack of work. and live my relationship situation for my own sake my husband ignores me for him I don’t exist so I make this journey sometimes under the snow. And I weep, saying in my heavenly spouse I endure this, for it will be part of my testimony.

Don’t hesitate, it will be part of your testimony. because this is turning you into the woman that the Lord has called you to be. what you were created for.
May you always find good-hearted people on your path. β€œHe will send his angels to camp around you and guard you in all your ways.”

  3. Thank you for sharing precious Atarah, it is so heartwarming to read your praise and I am sitting here with this huge smile of my face because that is so our Darling Husband!

  4. Thank you Atarah. I have felt quite overwhelmed as we also have been living similar to your comment below for months.

“Going without so many things.. We had almost no food left in the house, we ran out of everything, necessities like toiletpaper. Even our water the municipality lowered the pressure on our taps”

Thank you for encouraging me to “be still” and reminding me to not become weary.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

  5. Wow Atarah!! Thank you so much for sharing your heart with us, I felt so encouraged … When we go through tests is difficult but when we see what He did for us, is amazing and we feel so loved!!

  6. Dear Atarah, I love the title so much. It speaks volumes to what God can do and that’s exactly what we need to focus on. For years I always focused on the negative and it has brought so much destruction. Thank the Lord always – never too late.
